As a nursing student, I find this full sized model to be a great resource for studying compared to a flat image in my textbooks. It seems to be accurately modeled and includes a guide to go along with the numbered areas. I like that the inside of the skull is nicely detailed as well. I have used smaller scale skulls before, but a smaller scale always means detail becomes omitted. After going through the included word list, I found everything where they should be. The top cap of the skill and the mandible are both removable and can be put back together securely. The top cap of the skill is fastened with a tight fit of pegs into holes which seems to work well. The whole thing has some nice weight to it and I don’t have any worries about it breaking. I wish I had gotten a full sized skill model like this one a long time ago rather than using smaller, less detailed ones. Compared to other anatomy models, I think this is a great price for the Lifesize scale of this skull.

Impressed with the quality and accuracy of this human skull. Ordered for high school education purposes. Size if life like with movable jaw/mandible. Sturdy. Comes with reference card for numbered skull areas. Great quality. Happy with this product!

One of the things I love about the anatomically accurate skull is that every part of the skull is numbered so you can look up in the included list of parts. It's made from an actual cast of a skull so you get really good detail not just on the outside but on the inside as well. You can see what's inside the skull's mind by popping off the top of the magnetically attached skull top. This is such a cool feature because you can use the display piece as a container. This is so cool. This is a very well made, accurate skull model with great info to let you learn the actual anatomical parts.

This anatomical model is sturdy and fairly heavy. The construction is adequate. The top of the skull does not quite fit flush with the rest of the skull so it looks a little sloppy. A couple of the foramina are represented by roughly drilled holes in the skull (the infraorbital foramen, specifically). If you can get around the roughness of construction, this is a reasonable skull for boning up (Ha!) on the anatomy. The skull comes with a little card identifying which numbers on the skull correspond to which features. There is also a very tightly rolled little poster with more detailed diagrams.

I love the little paper that comes with it explaining all the parts. I got this skull not for education purposes though, I wanted to display it in my library at home beside my psychology books and it is perfect.

To be honest I ordered this more as a piece of decor than as a teaching aide, but it can do both. As a biology major I still have an interest in topics related to biology, physiology, anatomy, etc. So this model serves both as decor and to remind me of the things i should have remembered from human anatomy class. This skull is very accurate and realistic - creepily so. I like that it comes with two different study guides for the bones of the skull. I like that both the mandible and the top of the cranium are removable. The mandible is also hinged with a spring closure to demonstrate the movements. If you are or have a student studying human anatomy, this would be an excellent item for learning. Five stars.

This is a very impressive learning tool. It breaks down easily, reassembles nicely, and is fun to look at. Use it to learn/teach skull anatomy and again for decoration on Halloween.Highly recommend.

For the price, this is unbeatable. The bony outlines do a great job of showing the borders of each cranial bone both inside and on the outer surface. The major holes (foramina) are present and in the right place. The superior orbital fissure, carotid canal, external auditory meatus, and lacrimal canals are not open but they are indicated by a depression in the plastic. Not quite as good as a real skull but the best, low-cost version I've seen.
