I've used these for decades and they work well. I think this was formally the Norton product and it appears that Honeywell now owns it. This time I opted for the silicone version. I'm not sure yet if it's superior to the standard (rubber?) material. Maybe time will tell but I got years out of the other material. I can't put my finger on it as I no longer have the old one but the other material might be a bit more comfortable. You can't really go wrong with this product line. Many options for cartridges to suit your needs. Do keep in mind that if you wear a beard and you are in a hazardous environment that bad air may be able to slip in. Safety First!

This replaced my 5500 for regular hospital use. I may wear it from 30-60 mins at a time. I feel like it’s more comfortable and fits a lot better than the 5500 series. I still sweat like crazy in it, no one can hear me talk and I have to re-tighten it periodically, but I prefer it to a disposable N95 as far as ease of breathing goes and security of potential exposure to airborne diseases.

I used a cheaper 3M mask for years but needed a new one. Thought I would spend more to get one with better straps and screw on filters. Got one at Home Depot for a little more $ than this one. I could not get an air tight fit around my nose. Ordered the North Safety Respirator and it fits great. Air tight and it reminds me of the respirators I used on the job. I also like the screw on filter much better that the filter attachment for the other mask.

This 100% medical grade half mask made be Honeywell was a steal when I bought it this summer ($30.49); high quality, and extremely comfortable. Looks nice as well (gets attention). The mask performs too: seals snuggly and comfortably against the face to create a total lock out of air. Depending upon what canisters you put with it (how restrictive they are) you might even feel a slight pulsing when you breathe, because it won't allow any air in except through the filter canisters you've choosen.

Purchased so I could keep the sawdust out of my lungs when building a table. Worked perfectly. Comfortable and lightweight. You must purchase the filters separately. Would buy again.

Sadly, my dog may be trying to kill me, so she ate my mask :'(Wait until she remembers it is my hand she's metaphorically bitten, for which is the same that feeds her! That bi--scuit!

There's a particular irony that a product designed to filter the air one breathes should emit its own unpleasant odor. The negative of this product is, unsurprisingly, that it arrived with an unpleasant plastic odor. I tried rinsing it in baking soda and warm water, and will leave it out to air dry, but I suspect it will take a week or so for the smell to truly subside and doubt it will ever fully vanish. This is too bad because the mask itself fits very well and is extremely comfortable. Were it not for the odor, it would be a solid 5 stars. But one star definitely removed for having to "fix" something the moment I remove it from its packaging.Now, while I'm here, lemme do you a favor and share sizing info. These come in Small, Medium, and Large, but for some reason it's near impossible to find any specific method for determining which of these you should get. Well, voila, here is the sizing reference on the side of the box.
