A good quality product. Needs a special tool to crimp properly , but I soldered them on for a perfect connection. They have a tight fit on the terminal, as you want! I will buy again as needed.

In the product details, it clearly states that these terminals are made in the USA. Upon receiving them, I see that the package says 'Made in Taiwan'. I specifically bought these because the description claimed they were made in the USA. Not happy!

You'll need a crimper for the flag type crimp connectors.Don't scrimp on the crimp.

perfect for solder on terminals, superior to crimp on in every way - thicker, pre-tinned and the price was right.

When you buy stuff like this what you want is quality. For my application I soldered them in place rather than crimping. When you slide the female over the male, it springs, doesn't bend as though it didn't have any temper.

These are fairly heavy duty flag terminals that are made in Taiwan and I received a package of 20. The plating looks just like the picture and it's quite different than most spade terminals I've worked with in the past. The plating on these terminals appears almost like a hot dip galvanized coating, but it's much more precise than that. The terminals I received do differ from the picture in that there is a large square hole between the spade and the lug end of the terminal where the wire is actually crimped and that hole certainly weakens the whole terminal. If the crimping operation is not done very carefully, it's pretty easy for the whole terminal to just break in half through the very small areas on each side of the hole. With normal tools, a quality crimp is somewhat difficult to achieve with these terminals, just due to the way the wire lug end is formed. When crimping I found that the lug end just kind of flattens out instead of making a nice crimp like most spade terminals do. There is a special crimping tool called out on the back of the package, however, all I had available was the normal wire crimp pliers that are normally used for typical wire crimp-on terminals. I'd guess the special tool would make crimping easier and better. However, without the special tool, crimping was difficult without crushing the spade portion of the terminal, just due to the location of the crimping dies on the normal wire crimping pliers. I ended up using a very old pair of wire crimping pliers that had the dies located way on the end of the jaws so that the spade portion of the terminal would clear the pliers during the crimping operation. If I didn't have those available, I probably would have ended up using some normal slip joint pliers and I’d guess the results wouldn’t be so good. Even with the flattened out lug, the terminals do seem to grip onto the wire quite well.

Hard to get too excited about spade terminals however these are indeed nice, solid terminals. They grip well and hold tight. Would definitely buy them again.
