This is a very cool looking small jembe drum, with a decent sound for the price. Recommend for the novice or intermediate player in a drum circle. Group drumming is a great remedy for PTSD, depression, or TDS.

I bought the 12 inch drum because I wanted an instrument sized for my niece to grow into. It is 12 inches tall, not 12 inch diameter of the drum. I missed that initially, like many others did.The 12 inch can comfortably fit under an adult’s arm to play or between a child’s knees.The painting on the drum is beautiful. I was happy to read all of the ways it was sustainably made. It will be a great teaching point for my niece that it was made by people who care about the environment.

I love the drum; it fits right in with my decor. It is smaller than pictured, but I was planning to hang it on the wall. I wish a stick came with it. If I had the space I would order another one.
