Im really fussy about my feet. I need a wide toe box. These boots outperform my $150 Columbia omni heat boots. Completely waterproof, comfortably for all day work use and very warm.

Needed new winter boots plus I needed something with more ankle support. I purchased this brand of hikers in the spring, really liked them so purchased these winters. Fit well so sizing is right on for me, warm and have the needed support. Good soles which grip well. Pricing was decent . If they last , i will be very happy with the purchase and the brand of footwear in general. Recommend.

I purchased these to use as hunting boots and they exceeded my expectations. They are very warm and perfect to wear no matter if I’m sitting or walking a far distance. They are waterproof up to the top of the boot where the laces start.Highly recommended

i just got my second pair to keep as backup. My left foot has a pinched nerve issue called Morten's Neuroma. I need a specific orthotic insole pad and shoes have to have a flatter sole, a firm but not too firm sole, etc. If I get it right, I am totally pain free. If not, I get sharp stabbing feeling in my metatarsal arch. These winter boots work great for me. Plus, they are warm, not clumsy big, easy to walk in.When I first put them on it felt like a bucket with thinsulite. Oh, Oh...but they broke in and feel great.Feet sweat a little. Some wicking socks and they are great.I got a full size bigger, and got the wide, and glad I did. I might be okay with 1/2 size bigger, but I'ld rather err on roomy and add a thicker insole if need be.

I'm currently wearing the boots, and they are comfortable and stable. They do the job of keeping your feet dry and insulated. The boot feels like it is genuinely keeping your feet warm. I’ve had to add hand warmers to my feet in negative temperatures.

PROS: Boots are a rugged design with good tacking soles. Don't feel like I'm going to fall walking on snow or ice. They keep my feet very warm on a cold snowy day. They also keep my feet dry. These boots are competitively priced with other like products.CONS: These boots are kind of stiff and hard to break in. Because of this they are not the most comfortable. They're also on the heavier side.OVERALL: I bought these boots to deal with the cold and snow. Because of the rugged build and traction they are great for clearing snow. I can stay out doors a long time because these boots keep my feet dry and warm. If you prefer to do a hike on a snowy winter day then you might want to look for something else IMO. Other then that I recommend these boots, especially at their current price.

I must warn you when you start wearing these boots, don't lace them right up and not too tight. Believe me I learnt the hard way. These boots need breaking in and it takes a little while. Depending how often you wear them it took me a few weeks before I could lace them right to the top. I can honestly say they get better the more I wear them so comfortable and durable. Yet to see how they fare as temperatures drop, but confident they will perform. Iam a size 10 but bought size 11 to wear thick socks.

I bought these shoes for use in keeping my feet warm when cycling in the winter. When the temperatures drop between freezing and about 40F, I can put on some foam booties for my shoes to help keep in the heat. (I don’t use clip-in petals but just the regular type and regular shoes.) However, when temperatures drop to between to between 20F and freezing, the booties do not provide enough insulation. I usually do a 70-mile ride at least once a week that takes me 7 – 8 hours and especially feel the cold when I start my ride—usually between 8 and 9 am. I thought about using my crosscountry ski boots for cycling but they are too bulky and heavy and would not be suitable for such use. I then examined the use of electrically heated wool socks with my foam booties which greatly helped at keeping my toes warm. However, the soles of my feet were still exposed to the outside cold since there was not much insulation in that area of the shoe. In desperation, I decided to try these boots with my electrically heated socks. Bingo! That was the combination that I needed.I recently tried this combination when the outside temperature was 27F and selected a medium heat level that kept my feet toasty warm. (The electrically heated socks provide three levels of heating: low, medium, and high or 100%, 75%, and 50% output.) After several hours the temperatures warmed and I could turn off the heater. The boots are well insulated from top to bottom and I didn’t need any auxiliary heating until late in the afternoon as the temperature dropped. My feet were well insulated with this combination. I think that the electrically heated socks would keep my feet warm for a good half day, but never had to use it that long so far.The boots are well constructed and well insulated and should keep your feet nice and warm. I normally wear a size 9-1/2 so ordered a size 10 boot. That was a perfect fit that was not too snug. I wear a liner sock under the electrically heated wool socks to avoid having to wash them every time that I use them. This combination worked great for me and I am well pleased with the results that I have experienced with these boots. (I should note that using them for cycling doesn’t put the same pressure or strain on the boots that hiking would.) If the boots are a bit too loose, one can always slip foam inserts into them to take up any slop.I bought the electrically heated socks from Amazon:Gamegie Battery Heated Socks - Rechargeable Heating Socks, Winter Electric Thermal Socks Foot Warmers for Men Women Sport OutdoorJust search under “electrically heated socks” to see what is now available.
