These NORTIV 8 Men's military style work boots are excellent boots. The things that impressed me the most was the overall workmanship, and thoghtfullness in the design of these boots.First they came in the size ordered and they were a perfect fit.The features that are outstanding are the vents in the side of the boot at insole level. Makes them breathable as described..Another great feature is what you find when you unzpip the boot for tyhe first time in order to try it outs for fit and comfort. The boot when unzpped is not just a shoe with a huge open space at the top because there is a stretchable smooth liner that gives your foot guidance. Really important when gearin up in total darkness or subdued lighting. The boot always looks like a boot at all times not like a sock that has been cut with a scissors from top to foot. Try to put that on in the dark!Bys the way, that liner repels water like a duck's back. These boots are about as water resistant as any I have worn or tested. Now we come to the piece resistance, the item that I really appreciate. The strong full sized assist loop near the heal of the boot.So much better than grabbing on to the unzipped portion of a boot and using that as the final tug point to settle your heel firmly in the boot. This assist to me is very important and NORTIV 8 did it right. The pull loop is solidly attached to the boot and has ample room for a full sized finger that you use to pull the boot in place. I gave both tabs considerable pull than needed to check their attachment. I have had tabs pull off with that much pull but the Nortif held firmly attached with no damage. These are truly great boots. The lacing is full and complete with smooth pull. t did noit seem that much breaking in was needed because I maintained full agility after putting them on.So let me copy and paste the full title of these boots, because they left nothing out in the title.Five GIANTT STARS go to these NORTIV 8 Men's Breathable Military Tactical Work Boots. You can select your outdoor activity, such as hiking, geo caching, or wearing in the workplace. You will be well shod for sure. You will notice that as part of this review I have included z very useful sizing chart that was in the boot box.I cannot imagine that any active person would be disappointed with these quality boots for a modest price.

For the last 40 years I've worn boots like this at work (Tire shops & Car Dealerships). I have used a few different name brands and My MO was that when my work shoes started getting worn they'd get demoted to my "yard work" shoes. When my most recent pair of Yardwork shoes gave up, my good shoes were still really good, so I thought I'd try these less espensive ones. Here's what I've observed:The craftsmanship appears solid. No complaints thereThe pattern on the soles offers good traction, but doesn't seem to retain mud & sand as much as my other shoes.Once I get them on, they are quite comfortable. The arch is much more pronounced than my other shoes and I'm still getting used to that.Getting them on and off is a little challenging. With my other brand I can leave them laced up and just unzip them for removal, as well as putting them back on. These one's I need to not only unzip, but untie and loosen the laces down to about midway. So when putting them on I need to not only tie the laces, but snug them all up first. These are the only shoes I've had top do that with

These are said to be men's, but my 13 y/o daughter (who traditionally has been wearing a size 6 these past few months but whose feet are growing/going through a growth spurt!) immediately wanted these when she saw them because they look like cool black platform boots, even though the lowest size was a size 7 (she did not care: she wanted them anyway, lol.). I concur: they look smashing, and just as awesome in person as I thought they would.I was worried they might be too large prior to buying, but we were pleasantly surprised to discover they do actually fit her fine (and she is very happy to have them and grow a bit more into them). For your reference: she is 111 lb., 5 ft. tall, and is wearing them in the photos. We both like them a lot, and they're comfortable for her to walk in. She hasn't felt the need to trip over them, thankfully. They look great under her semi-baggy jeans. I love that these are designed to be breathable (making for less bacteria and less smell), cushioned, light-weight (so she'll want to wear them), and can be tighter or looser as needed with both the laces and side zipper. It has a wide base sole for balance. And, the bottoms are very grippy, so she won't be sliding around in them, and can walk steadily on all kinds of surfaces. And if anything sharp or hard accidentally happens to fall on her feet, the hard toed part on the front (but not steel toed) is a nice bit of protection (especially nice in labs at school if they're working with chemicals in science class).Because of the cushioning, she can also jog in them. She is already wearing them to school and from the looks of her preference for them, will likely be her daily go-to shoes.
