It’s great. It just feels cheap. I think I might need to put some mineral oil on it. It’s great! Boil the cobs for like 10 min pull them out and slide it. Cuts like butter.

This is the best corn cutter I’ve used. It is fast and does a great job cutting and scraping for the corn cream. I’ve been putting corn up for over 60 years wish I’d found this sooner. Cuts down on corn splatter and cleanup is fast. I’d highly recommend this product. A matter of fact I bought one for my nephew and his family.

This corn creamer/cutter will do everything you expect from it. I believe this one performs better than the antique one that my grandmother had, actually. For cream corn you just have to lower the blade by releasing pressure on the screw that holds the blade up. The blade drops down out of the way and you tighten the screw back up. It creams the corn beautifully and the scraper makes sure you drop the corn right through the hole into your pot, bowl, or directly into the freezer bag to store it. It is super easy to use and easy to clean up thanks to the scraper. I don't think the old we had when I was a kid had this scraper so it is a big improvement! It is a great value at this price because with proper care it seems like it will last a lifetime! Simple construction from quality materials should ensure that. The blade seems to be quite sharp so be careful if you use it for cutting the kernels off the cob. It cuts them off the cob super fast with just one pass which was impressive! This is a quality product and I highly recommend it. Practical, easy to use, and for me, provides nostalgia for a bygone time.

I started freezing corn with my mother-in-law a few years ago and she had one of these and I absolutely loved it. It creams the corn as it’s taking it off the cob, makes the freezer corn taste even better than if you were to just cut it off the cob. I can’t explain it. I can just tell you it’s delicious, if you don’t have one of these freeze for the winter definitely purchase one of these.

The first problem I had was figuring out how to use the Norpro wood corn cutter and creamer. I was trying to cream the corn and had to watch a couple of YouTube videos first because the device did not come with instructions. Once I figured it out the creamer actually worked like a dream. However, then I washed the device (thoroughly), allowed it to dry (thoroughly), put it in the drawer and a few days later when I took it out to use it again it was covered in mold! I think the soft, raw wood that the device is made from holds the natural sugar in the corn and this is what caused the mold to grow. In just a couple of days the device was covered in black hairy mold. Disgusting. I threw it out. I have now ordered a new cutter that is made from stainless steel. A friend of mine owns a plastic one. I think metal and plastic will be less likely to harbor bacteria.

This is a great corn creamer. Works like it always has. I set the cutter at top to lowest setting and start running the ears down the groove. The only thing different from my old one is that the grater attachment, for creaming is removable. Which makes for easy cleanup, but it has a learning curve. Once you run the cob all the way down the groove, over the cutter completely, lift and bring back to beginning, don’t let it drag over the cutter on the way back up or it will pull the small attachment out of the grooves and you’ll need to re-set. Once I figured that out we did almost three hundred ears at one sitting, putting up 24 quarts of corn. Works great, love it, thank you!

I'm being generous giving this three stars. It is OK in concept, but not so good in execution. The cutting blade is way too dull so it scrapes off the kernels instead of cutting them off. This makes for a messy process as it shoots off splops of corn innards and juice all over the kitchen. The teeth and scraper bar do a good job roughing up the cob, which allows getting all the scraps and corn milk. The wooden backer is junk wood. I washed mine after one use and it is now warped upward. The worst of the design errors is the metal parts are nailed to the wooden backer with no way to clean it well when you're done. Corn scraps and juice get under the metal and just stay there. To be fair, I didn't pay much for this but seroiusly, it could be so much better. I'm going to keep it and fix it by sharpening the curved blade so it actually cuts (are you listening Norpro?), and I will remove the nails holding it together so I can put a very small stainless washer under the metal part and secure it with screws instead. This will allow the corn crud to flush out or get picked out with a toothpick. I will treat the wood with cooking oil so it's waterproof. When done it will work fine, but I shouldn't have to go to these lengths to fix this thing.
