Nordic Ware Microwave Omelet Pan

This omelet maker is really well made. It's sturdy and works really well. Just be cautious when you take it out of the microwave and open it as it'll be hot and steamy, but makes great omelets and is made sturdy like most of the Nordic Ware products I've purchased in the past. Would definitely recommend and would purchase again if I ever need another one.

Love this product, does what it should I recommend microwaving it for 3 minutes. Because less than that the eggs don’t cook all the way through. My omelette comes out perfect

I absolutely love this! So easy. No mess. Omelette may not look like a restaurant omelette, but taste delicious. Just right for one person. I like egg white omelettes. I use three egg whites. Add two tablespoons water. Whip up good. Split between each side. Nuke for around one minute. Add fillings you want to each side. Nuke for around minute and a half. Close and done. When you open, you have an omelette. Slide onto your plate. I use every morning. Fill with all kinds of veggies. Maybe chopped ham. Top with grated cheese. Whatever you want. Cooks everything just right. A great buy for me!

It's hard to time it right and get equal aniunts of egg on both sides, so you end up with some parts ivercooked, some parts undercooked. Of course you can't expect perfect omelets in a microwave, but this system needs work. The egg poacher works better.

Faz o descrito, fica fofinho e só aconselho picar os ingredientes para derreter mais rápido e não passar do ponto.Mas vale o preço!

I have a microwave with turntable. So, I followed the package directions. I divided my beaten egg between the halves of the omelet maker; put the open gadget into the microwave for 1 minute. And then I took it out, put some packaged shredded cheese and pre-cooked bacon bits down the center of one half, closed the gadget, returned it to the microwave for 30 seconds, and lunch is ready. I really like it. Eggs were good but perhaps can even improve. I enjoy thoroughly cooked eggs. That's what I had. That said, I will be using this omelet frequently. It is so easy, so good, and easy to clean. It gives no smell at all. If I use using a cheap microware at work, I would add a few more seconds here and there. After I close the lid up for the last part of the cooking cycle, it will cook the last minute as written in on the package. Next time, I will try in future will be to use one number lower on the power level. I think that is better than trying to guess the optimum cooking time. I will cut a slice of cheese into 4 narrow strips and arrange them along the center of one side after the initial cooking. I think that will be easier than trying to keep the mini-shreds from falling off the cooked half-omelet. It is kind of fun to mess around to find my way for the best.

I bought this after buying and LOVING the single egg cooker. I have some hungry guys to feed in the morning, but they both like different things on their eggs. This will cook 3 eggs and toppings like (pre-cooked) bacon, ham, veggies, (I cook batches and put in plastic bags in fridge for the week), for 1:30, then add cheese on both sides, do another 30 seconds, then close it and cook for another 30 seconds or so until desired firmness. They omelet will fluff up nicely. If you use 2 eggs, the cook time is shorter, but my guys like big omelets. This saves me from dirtying lots of pans. It works better than my countertop plug in omelet machine that cost me a LOT more than this little tool.It washes up easy, just a quick wipe, no matter if the cheese leaks all over the place. I've never put in dishwasher because I tend to baby the dishes that I love most.A word of caution: Don't just grab the opening handle and open it slowly. A lot of steam will come out from the opening. I just a thin oven glove to open it quickly, then give it a few seconds to let the steam dissipate. After that, it's easy to tip it up and slide the omelet right onto the plate.I've had it for a few months and we've used it plenty. Very pleased. Would be happy to buy again.

I read a lot of the reviews including the negative ones but decided to give the Nordicware omelette pan a try anyway. 1st omelette was a total success and I couldn't be happier. However, I didn't follow the instructions exactly. From my previous experience I know it takes no more than about 50 seconds to cook an egg in a microwave, so I only did the first cook stage for 1 minute instead of the 2 minutes as called for in the instructions. This left me some liquid egg to stir together with the cooked egg instead of a dried up egg doughnut. Then I stirred the eggs together. I used 2 eggs for this first omelette and whatever ingredients I had handy at the time. I used some white asparagus, fresh chives, white pepper and Szechuan pepper, bratwurst and bacon, a couple of sliced mini pearl grape tomatoes and some Gruyere cheese. As for the milk, I estimated the 2 Tablespoons called for by splashing in what looked right to me so not exact there. I was going to spray the pan with olive oil beforehand but forgot. Not needed anyway. The omelette slid out easy as you could please. It was slightly fluffy and tasty. None of that plastic feel that the negative reviews talked about. I'm sure the secret is not overcooking the eggs. For 2 eggs, only 1 minute for the first step instead of 2 will work much better I'm sure. A quick rinse and the dishes were done. All in all for me it was easier than the fry pan both for cooking and cleaning and the taste and texture was no different as far as I could tell. I like the shape of the omelette as well. I see many new egg sandwich creations in my future. The omelette shape will fit nicely between two slices from the Boule bread loaf of your choice or folded into a tortilla or some pita bread. You are only limited by your creativity. Bottom line is I would recommend this to everybody whether you are a bachelor, college student or a crusty old geezer like me who wants to surprise his wife with breakfast in bed without leaving a mess for her to clean up later. This first omelette was just for me but when I make a 3-4 egg omelette for my wife and and I or as the pan get older, I may update this review if I have any more relevant information worth giving. Suffice it to say for now I'm as happy as a puppy in a roomful of toys.
