Pro: These chalk “pens” are easy to use and neat.Con: These are hard to erase with a standard eraser. We had to keep using a wet cloth to completely erase on the blackboard.

This is the WORST chalk. We bought a beautiful PotteryBarn easel with a chalkboard for our daughter and this chalk ruined it. It was impossible to erase without a proper cleaning product and now the board is scratched from it. Just tried using a recognized brand of chalk and it erases perfectly fine. Picture of the subtle lines on the board are the ones from this chalk that are permanently coated on this board. Picture was taken after scrubbing the board several times with all purpose cleaner after using the chalk. Still cannot get the lines off so I am assuming they have either ruined the board coating or scratched it. DO NOT BUY!

Using black board is fun but it leaves all dust to clean after wiping , but this even though it is not as easy as the original chalk , it does not make mess on floor but is fun for kids to work on their board

Works great for our chalkboard wall in our nursery. Writes more like a crayon, but works as advertised. States that if you wipe with water it will leave a vegetable oil residue so you need to use soapy water. They are smaller than I thought, but it still is a good deal for the price.

When I was younger, I always hated how the chalk would leave its dust everywhere! I hated how the chalk dust got everywhere on me no matter how careful I was! My little girl (4 years old) is also very particular on texture and she uses these chalks all the time. It is like coloring with crayons! I also quite enjoyed coloring with my girls. The chalk has a very waxy texture and it is dustless! I love how easy it is to twist it (like sharpening but without the hassel) and it is easy for the little ones to hold and color with, very lightweight, and I love the beautiful vibrant colors. Great quality! I highly recommend, just note that these chalks are smaller than the typical chalk but I found that them being smaller was really nice for my 4 year old and 1 year old because they have such small hands. They had such a great time using the chalk! And they walked away clean! Nothing on their hands or clothes. Very nice and relaxing not to have to worry about the dust getting all over them.
