It holds really well and easy to cut for customization. Be mindful that the pad will lift the rug slightly, I just cut the pad bit more narrow and it's worked for me on both thin and thick pile runners.

Pad stays in place great, but when I put the rug on top of it, rug will move somewhat, so I taped it down. Love the pad, not so much the back of the rug.

Nice price for a good rug pad/gripper. Keeps the rug in place so it is not a trip or slip hazard. Light padding keeps the profile from blocking opening doors but provides cushion.

I ordered this 5x7 rug pad, felt on one side and non-slip surface on the other side. My rug was a bit bigger so this fit underneath it very well. I used this pad with the FELT SIDE NEXT TO THE FLOOR. It is under a very heavy table, that needs to be moved around from time to time. This works perfectly on my hardwood floors. The table can be moved without too much trouble, and will not damage the hardwood. It is a thin pad, being used under a thin rug. I cannot say whether the non-slip side is because I did not use it that way.

I’m not great at remembering to write reviews even though I rely on them myself, but this was a superb purchase. My rug is not moving a centimetre even with only light furniture and cats running back and forth over it. And the rug feels great with the extra cushion — this pad is perfectly suitable for even a high pile rug on a hard floor.I hate spending $$ on something that’s going to be hidden under a rug and have relied on discount solutions (the little sticky netting-type pads), but this all-around rug pad is a must-have to complete the overall effect if you don’t want your rug slipping, edges curling etc.

I think this rug pad would be above average quality for a larger, heavier area rug, but I’m using it for an 8 foot runner over hardwood floors and I have to readjust the placement every few days. The grip is safe enough to prevent the runner from slipping, but I would like the quality to be higher to also prevent the shifting.

I think this would be best under a rug that is already held in place by furniture or other items. I used this for a hallway runner with heavy traffic and it did not stay in place - I had to put another layer of a different product underneath. It does add more softness under the feet though!

Rug stays in place on the actual pad and is thick enough for a nice cushiony feel underfoot. The rug also doesn’t slide around in the floor. True to size- I’ll be buying more for other rugs.

This made my cheap rug feel like a luxurious rug. The only down side is the top rug keeps slipping a little bit off the pad, making the pad show. I just used Velcro tape on both ends of the rug and pad and no longer had the problem. I would definitely buy again.

I purchased an 5' x 7' area rug for my living room and needed a pad to set underneath it. This pad provides enough cushion and has good grip. The pad fit the rug perfectly, no trimming needed. I placed one end of the rug/pad under the front legs of my sofa to keep the sofa from sliding around on the luxury vinyl plank flooring...it works great, the sofa no longer moves around everytime someone sits down on it.

Got 2 of these for rugs that really needed a non-slip pad. The floors in our apartment are not perfectly flat (old building, what can ya do?) Anyway, our foyer rug would slowly creep to the low side of the room, but this pad put an end to that completely. Been over a week and haven't had to adjust it once.The floor in our hallway is even worse. That rug would need to be adjusted multiple times a day (read: every time someone walked down the hall) but this pad helps immensely. It still moves but very slowly over time. It's a high traffic area in our apartment, so I'll need to adjust maybe once a day. But honestly I don't think any pad - no matter the cost - would keep a rug from moving in this location. This pad, at this price, is good enough. If your floors are flat they'll do the job.No smell from the rubber, and quite hefty too. Good for sound dampening. Great for the price, highly recommend.
