I didn't buy this edging border for my grass, I bought it to make my own Plant Rings and itworked perfectly. I made 8 12" rings and 1 6" inch ring and my planter looks great with thenew rings I made.

The set includes a roll of short plastic edging and 60 plastic "nails" to help hold it into the soil. Overall, I can't say I am very impressed with it. Because the edging is sent rolled in a tight coil, it doesn't straighten out well. This is fine if you are using it for a curved garden bed or a walkway, but not so much for more rectangular features where the wobble in the edging is very obvious. Even if I straighten it out, the plastic does warp and wobble and it is very noticeable. The included plastic nails are brittle and do not go into the ground very well. My soil is not particularly 'hard' or rocky, but it does have a lot of clay. I softened the ground a little and dug out a small hole to try to loosen up the ground before hammering the nails in with a rubber mallet, and I had several break. Luckily, I had a box of metal stakes that I had gotten elsewhere, and those worked to hold the edging in place.Compared to edging that I have gotten at the 'big box stores', this edging is thinner and I am concerned it will not last. I had someone come to trim the weeds and clean up the borders along the sidewalk, and I noticed this edging was significantly more scuffed afterward than edging I had gotten elsewhere. If you need a temporary solution until you can install something more sturdy, maybe this works, but overall I find it just passable. It's not something I would want to look at long-term.

Typical landscape edging with spikes. Should last several seasons. Good for the price.

This one feels exactly like the ones I bought at home depot, at the fraction of the price! Even the spiraling stakes look and feel the same. It was easy for me to use around the backyard for landscaping. Cutting it was no problem at all with a pair of tin snips. There was definitely enough for what I need in the backyard in one roll. I used a mallet with the spiraling stakes and had no issues at all! It held a rock area together easily without any issue so far. 10/10

Okay, I have not used this yet, it will work as a frame along my free form walkway next year. Just to keep things together and hopefully wonโt separate. I plan to use recycled bricks, stepping stones and just rocks as my walkway and instead of trying to work a concrete border I think this would work well.I noticed a lot of people complain about not having enough nails or them breaking in half. You can order more nails at various lengths. As far as them breaking, because they are plastic, from reading other peopleโs reviews, hit the nail head flat, not at an angle and soften up your soil a little with water. Then I am just gonna put my sand and rocks inside my frame and go for it.Sounds easy. And I am hoping it will look clean and cool!

Pretty easy to install.Ok value, and price.Slightly wavy, but not badly. The spikes drove me crazy, because they would bend and not go straight down. They just aren't sharp enough in their clay and rock soil. It wasn't very sturdy due to the pins, but if this came with metal pins then, it would be great! For now it's in, and it's functional, I do think in Spring, this will need to be redone with metal spikes.

I find that edging helps provide definition to my plantings and to my plantings. It also is great for helping to hold mulch in place. This edging is very easy to install. You use the included spikes to anchor the edging to the ground. It is flexible to follow any type of straight, curved or even circular border. It is also easy to trim to the proper length, if you don't want to use the entire piece in one section. It is robust and should last for a number of years.

This edging is pretty thin and itโs hard to get an even line. I installed it in an oval shape, and parts of it are wavy and warped, it doesnโt look like a neat edge. Iโm hoping once the grass grows to the edge it will help hide the warped edging. Iโve used name brand edging from the orange store that was probably nearly twice as thick, and it maintained a smooth line without warping. The stakes are plastic. I have hard clay soil, so I had to hammer these in. I broke a couple, once when I didnโt hit it straight on, and once when the stake hit a rock in the soil. The heads snapped off. However there are plenty of stakes included, even if some break.I bought this edging to keep a separation between grass and a rock border, which the product accomplished. If I were doing a project where the edging would really stand out, I would buy a better product.
