I bought this because our old little Nixie Firefly clock with Cold War vacuum tubes stopped working. We became attached to it & the clock always was a conversation starter of our visitors who admired it. We took a chance on this clock due to its similarity to the Nixie but being advanced with LED technology. Additionally it was 1/4 of the price of a new Nixie so we purchased it.So far so good as I will update in the future to its reliability.Fast shipping and well packaged.

So I will start by saying this is a beautiful faux nixie clock. The display is well built and mesmerizing to look at. However, I had to return it purely based on it's Wi-Fi feature. The Wi-Fi presents itself as a static access point without password protection intended for you to connect and configure things like the time and custom colors of each tube through the use of a mini web service running on the clock. That's all fine, however, I never intended to use this feature and was happy just using the buttons on the clock directly to set modes. I accessed the Wi-Fi to secure it from the default open state and that's where I discovered that you can't and found my only gripe about this thing (and unfortunately a deal breaker for me).You can enable password on the access point with a check box which sets a default "weak" password that you cannot change. So it's either fully open or protected with a password you can just Google. There is no option to hide the Wi-Fi ssid broadcast (not that it creates any significant security). But more importantly there is no option to completely disable the Wi-Fi feature entirely. The manufacturer intends for you to connect the device to your home network in order to update and likely sync with ntp time services, which is fine, but I'm extremely reserved on which devices I allow on my network. So having a device accessible to anyone within 30 feet of my location is a huge concern even if it is just a clock. I would have totally kept this product if not for this security oversight. In my opinion no one should have a device in their home that isn't 100% in their control. Call me paranoid. If a device/product offers Wi-Fi functionality of any capacity (client or server) "proper" security options should be foremost in design. All in all, it's a pretty product and a nice spin on the old nixies with nicely etched acrylic number plates that even mimic the depth of the real ones (and use a ton less power). Brightness has a nice adjustable range and colors are vivid (likely neopixel or some variant). It runs on an espressif microcontroller and overall has a solid feel. Buttons have a little play, so they rattle if you shake it, but overall a nice device.Kudos on the physical design, but the firmware could use a little more work to address the issues above. I was considering keeping it and writing my own to disable the Wi-Fi but I have too many projects already.Thank you and sorry for the return.

I bought this clock to place on my home office desk. I looked at quite a few of the Nixie clocks but just couldn't justify $300+ for a clock on my desk so I scoured for something a bit more in line for what I was going to use it for and found this clock. Looks great on my desk and I get lots of comments/compliments. The different scrolls of the numbers and the various colors are cool too! However, here are the aggravations: Will not connect to the Wi-Fi. I have done it all to try and get it to connect....it will not. I like 24hr. time. It will only do one round of 24 hours and then switches back to the 12hr. mode.......yes, I've messed with that setting a ton too and, to no avail. Directions are really pretty lame and customer service..................well! To exit on a positive though, I'm glad I only paid what I did for this and NOT some $300+ model. :) Best of luck to YOU!!

I simply love love this product. It is colorful, has lots of features and it is relatively easy to use. You use your LAN/WiFi Connection to set it up using any CPU’d system(similar to setting up a router). In my case I use iOS. Go to Settings>WiFi>ClocTeck it connects and opens to a Web Based interface Page. You can connect the device to your WiFi there, do not click enable WiFi password until after you see the iP address has been connected and set up. Once that is set, the interface is intuitive, just play with it until you figure it out. I updated the Firmware, however the system did not account for Daylight Savings Time so the TimeZone is off( not a deal breaker). It is a bit pricey, but it brought my living room a lot of fun color and joy. We really like it, we hope it lasts. Great purchase for my whole family.

Super stylish and very practical. Syncs with WiFi / Internet clock so always accurate, even when the time changes. GREAT customer service. I had a question about how to set the time and wrote customer service. They replied with detailed instructions the very next day. (Which just happened to be Christmas day.) THANK YOU ClocTeck!

This was my favorite Christmas gift I got this year. Even my millenial kids like it. I had always wanted a nixie tube clock, but the expense and hassles of the real nixie tubes just were not worth it. This clock captures 90% of the appearance of real nixies, in a modern digital clock, with none of the problems of real nixies. The tube digits really are 3D, with 10 individual digit plates stacked inside the tubes. The difference is that the numbers are engraved plastic plates rather than metal stampings, but that actually makes the numbers easier to read. The default digit color is nixie orange, but you can configure it with any tube any color in the rainbow. It also has a preprogrammed light show if that's your thing. Brightness is adjustable too. The base holding the electronics is small and is powered by a usb cord and phone charger, so it produces near zero heat. Programming instructions are cryptic as others have said, but no worse than a digital watch. The only thing they don't tell you is how to turn the alarm off(!), although they do tell you how to disable it. I got my clock up and going using just the buttons so I haven't bothered with the app.
