Contents: 1 foot each of 0.5mm 70C, 1mm 80C, 1mm 40C, 1mm 15C, and 2mm 80C nitinol wire and 6" samples of 2mm 40C and 2mm 60C. This will give you a wide selection to experiment with to pick out what works best for your project as each wire exhibits different properties. Yes - it comes pre-trained STRAIGHT from the factory which is how you want it. You can re-train it if you want to take on a new shape. The wire has a lustrous titanium color (dark grey) with a bluish oxide tint on its surface. When freshly cut, the inner core is nickel white. Nitinol is very abrasion resistant and has self-healing properties, so the wire is quite hard to cut and kink. It feels very smooth and shiny to the touch. It does not require any special handling or protections from oxidation or moisture, and is non-toxic. Do not over heat it, as that will damage the property. If you are using electricity instead of hot water to activate it, be sure to use a current limiting circuit.

These are working exactly as they should and kept my science loving high schooler entertained for hours! He'd love to turn them into springs but we don't have the resources to reach the temperatures to reset their memory. They do a great job at returning to their original shape at least which is exactly what he wanted to experiment with.

I just wanted to come on here and let anyone know who was thinking of getting these for orthodontist use, they don’t work for that! I got them in and they are way to big!

Not worth the money and not accurate at all…. did not help for anything I was trying to do at all ….a waste of money and a waste of time these people are getting money from people selling them inaccurate items and to me that is crazy honestly but who ever view hopefully it works out in your favor but me personally no I really just want my refund I feel very tried right now nd really upset and these people got good reviews on here and I’m thinking this some good stuff til I get my stuff and it was just a disappointment because I take what I do seriously.. and my career nd passions seriously
