We got this for my sin's birthday. He is generally skilled at throwing disc's and frisbees and has used a boomerang once or twice with a friend. He was able to throw this right away. Doesn't always come right back to him, but it's pretty close. It didn't work well on a 15°F day in Wisconsin, but we'll blame the cold weather for that one. I can't wait to see it fly in the summer!

This is a fun boomerang and seems to come back when thrown properly. There really do seem to be about six different ways you can throw it and two of them will return to you in a horizontal or vertical arc. Is it easy to get it back to yourself every time? No, that takes a lot of practice.

I love that this boomerang is made in the USA, it makes me happy to support a US business and feel like it would be a good quality. The colors are so bright and vibrant, it's very pretty looking. It was carved thinner than I thought it would be, but it still feels pretty sturdy in your hand. I did notice some holes poked into the top of it, not sure if that is supposed to be there or just a flaw or something but I don't think it impacts the use of it at all. The bottom was left exposed wood, you could see where some of the cut marks were made. I was surprised there didn't seem to be any sort of lacquer or anything to seal/protect the wood.It flies..... AWESOME! My daughter, husband and I took it out to a big field to give it a go. DEFINITELY go to a BIG field before flying this. It goes everywhere. There are instructions in the package that tell you different ways to throw the boomerang, and how to change angles and stuff if it's windy out. It's hard to get the technique just right, but even being a clumsy thrower it still went pretty far and kind of comes back to you. There was a lot of chasing after it, but that is user error not product error because my husband figured it out pretty quickly and could get it to actually come back.We hope this lasts for quite a while because it is a lot of fun to throw around and my daughter and I really want to figure out how to throw it right!

This is a very light and easy to throw boomerang. I like the bright colors that stand out against a bright sky. It makes it a lot easier to see it as it's coming back.

I've had a few nice boomerangs over the years and this holds right up to those. This is slightly lighter than I'm used to but it doesn't deter from the flight. It definitely takes practice to be able to throw a boomerang effectively so don't be discouraged if you aren't able to get it to come back right away. Make sure you have a very open space to play around with them too as wind or a badly angled throw can make for a decent jog to recover it.This particular one is super colorful and I love the design and brightness of it. It makes for an interesting toy and a great gift.

I purchased this to be used by a 10-year-old, which is the recommended lower age limit. I like that the company offers different sizes to choose from. It is nicely painted, lightweight and comes with instructions for the beginner on how to throw it. This makes a nice gift that is lightweight and easy to ship!
