I liked using them at first. This is my first season on these. Rode stepons for 4 years before this. Rode flows for almost 20 years before that. Feel more secure than stepons and flows. Big and bulky feeling on the chair even with carbon. These are 2lbs heavier than my jones mercury’s I ride at bigger resorts. Better at getting in in powder or slush. Bulkiness I could forgive if they were more durable but with less than 40 days my right heel strap tore. Heel strap (non-ratchet part) got a tear through the plastic web matrix right under ratchet. I’m not sure Nidecker will even warranty the strap. Pretty pissed about the quality. I’ve never had a binding break this quickly. They also tear apart whatever boot you wear especially getting out. Think these are definitely more for casual rider. Bindings aren’t likely going to last long and they eat up boots. They crush heel of boots and start ripping sole off getting in and out. I don’t think these are worth $500. I will buy a strap if I have to but am not happy with Nidecker. With this strap breaking I may just go back to traditional bindings. I did like quick entry for my small 300ft local ice mounds. Thanks Nidecker for your support here.

Man, I really wanted to like these. I am a huge proponent of step-in or rear entry bindings, and I thought these would be a game changer. They are well made and sturdy, so at least they have that going for them. Got them mounted and set up, and no matter what I did I couldn't enter or exit the bindings without adjusting the straps, which defeats the whole purpose. Even with the straps loosened, the entry mechanism was clumsy and awkward, and releasing them was even worse. For something that is supposed to keep you from having to bend down or sit in the snow and fiddle with straps, they... well, they don't.

Love the bindings. They are high quality and sturdy. Quick and easy to get in and out of. I have been wearing Flow Bindings for 5-7 years and love them. But was searching for a new set and noticed Nidecker bought them out and had released the Supermatic Bindings. I am thinking about replacing some of my Flow Bindings with these for my other snowboards.
