I purchased a bunch of these for my kitchen and they are working perfectly, are dimmable and I love the white light from the low voltage halogen MR16 bulbs. I purchased a few from Amazon, but then found them on sale at Home Depot (online only) and purchased more for my hallway and basement. The only complaint I have is that they come packed in a cardboard box that is so thin that it's truly a miracle that none of them came dented or bent. I guess that is a testament to the durability of the construction. After buying a basic white cover/baffle, I spent about 35% less than purchasing similar equipment from other manufacturers. For the price, these are hard to beat.

Contact where bulb inserts failed after 3 months of usage.Contacted Nicor and they were very responsive about warranty. Will update.Update: Nicor was great and replaced it right away. Replacement lasted.

Used this for installing some additional 4" recessed MR-16 12V lights. Worked like a champ and handled the double thickness drywall that I have in the ceiling. MR-16 trims fit well in the housing.
