These are perfect for the 3.4L V6 in the 1st Gen Tacoma’s and 3rd Gen 4Runners. The 5VZ-FE engine requires spark plugs with dual electrodes. The originals are copper and are recommended to be changed every 30k miles. The Laser Platinums should last at least double that. The less I have to pull the intake plenum off, the better! I will say the spark plugs were not gapped correctly upon receiving. Make sure to gap each electrode to .043”. Mine all came in around .035”. NGK says they’re preset at .044”. Vehicle runs extremely smooth and has excellent response with these plugs.

Put these into a 1995 Toyota T100 3.4l 5vzfe with 260k miles. These and a few sensor cleanings made the truck start, run, and idle like new. A little pricey, but worth it.

Amusing that Amazon now says these plugs aren't for my truck. I've been running them for the last 30k mi, and decided to replace them since I'm doing some other repairs (front end rebuild due to an accident a while back). The ones I changed out are still in good shape, so I will hold onto them "just in case."If you have a first gen 4x4 Taco with a 3.4L, don't believe Amazon cuz these are great for it.

My 2000 Tundra v6 3.4 had some hesitation on acceleration which got worse over a 30 day period. My check engine light came on which turned out to be a misfire on # 1 cylinder. I can't remember the last time I changed the spark plugs, but at 257,000 mile it couldnt hurt. I now have smoother ride and better gas milage of course ( 18.9 mpg AVG ). Will get these for my wife 97 4runner which has the same size engine.

I've been running these for about 500 miles now and they seem to offer my truck better performance. I did a complete tune-up on my 4Runner and I ended up gaining around 3 MPG more than usual. Can't say it's because of these platinum plugs...but when I do another tune-up, I'll be ordering another set. Easy to install. Right from the box to the cylinder head. I recommend ordering the anti-seize and dielectric lubricants as well.
