This jump starter is very easy to use and takes up only a little space in your vehicle. No more looking for someone to come bring another vehicle to jump your car. We own 2 of these, one for each vehicle. What’s even more impressive is the customer service. I used this item once successfully but then found the clamps on one unit were not functioning. I emailed Nexpow and they responded within 24 hours with support. When it all said and done they provided a replacement. Great communication from the company and support. I highly recommend.

Comes in handy when you need it. I've help alot of people with dead battery. if i purchase another it will be this same one. it comes with a storage case i also use to charge my phone up when i dont have a nearby socket to plug my up in. Cool flash built in to see what you doing a night. The money i spent was well worth it. works very well no problem with the jumping vehicle.

It's a great little device, nice and small. Jumps my SUV perfectly in a matter of secs. My only gripe would be this unit does not like the very low temps if left in your car or truck, the battery will drain very quickly, and will not have the power to jump anything.

My '97 Volvo battery always dies after a couple of years due to "leakage" (they can't find where) and lack of use. It often sits for weeks without being started. I could "hear" the 2-3yr old battery dying earlier this month and I knew it was only going to be a short matter of time, so I bought this thing (NEXPOW Car Battery Starter).Sure as hell, my battery was *almost* completely dead this morning. Door lights would light and power door locks were still operational, but when I turned the key in the ignition, ... nothing ... not even a sound. Stone dead.I had charged the NEXPOW Car Battery Starter the night before (arrives with 2 lights indicating ~50% charged) and charging to full power to where all 4 lights were lit only took around 2 hours at the most. I read the manual (doesn't take long, it's really short) while charging so I was ready to try it this morning. It worked like a charm. Engine turned over immediately, sounding like it had a fully-charged battery. As cynical as I was per the size and cost, I was truly impressed. Drove down to my mechanic's garage and replaced my Volvo's battery. Done.Pros: Does what it says. Simple to use. Just charge it first, follow the connection directions, and turn the ignition. Couldn't be simpler. I'm no mechanic - if I can use it, anyone can. And you can't beat the price. Small and stores easily in the case that comes with it.Suggestions: If it was me, I would raise the price a few bucks, and make the cables to the clamps about 4-6" LONGER. I had no problem placing the unit over the battery and connecting both clamps, but I could see there might be problems with some vehicles, depending on the engine layout. Worked fine for me though. I'd work on improving the manual too, though I could read and understand the one that comes with it enough to do everything right the first time.10 days after using it, I opened it up to see if it had any charge left after 10 days of non-use. ALL 4 lights were still lit, indicating it held a full charge for at least 10 days. Impressive!I will update this review if and only if I have any problems or issues with the NEXPOW Car Battery Starter in the future. But for the first time use, it worked great.

I bought this to replace an old fashioned (by today's standards) sealed lead-acid portable jump starter in my Prius. You are not supposed to use the Prius battery to jump start other cars, but I hate to leave someone stranded when all they need is a quick boost to get back on the road again. (i.e after leaving their headlights on or something)The downside to my old portable lead acid jump starter was its size and weight plus the fact that mine would self discharge in about 30 days. This unit is smaller than a set of jumper cables (rolled up) and is much smaller and lighter than the sealed lead acid jump starter it will replace. I can even slide it under a seat so it takes up basically none of the limited storage space in my Prius.I have not used it to jump anyone yet (I will update this review after I have more experience with the product) but initial impressions are positive. It came 3/4 charged and I was able to top it off in a couple hours using a standard USB wall socket (not included) and the included USB Type C cable. The unit was packaged well and comes in a well padded (zippered) case with a carry strap. I like the fact that I can also charge a phone off the device with the two built in USB ports and the flashlight is a nice bonus. The 21800 milliamp hour battery translates to about 80 watt hours at full charge. Basically that is about the same as a laptop battery. That should be enough to boost a weak car battery a few times or charge an average smart phone probably four or five times in an emergency. (Again I will update this with my real world results after I have more experience with the product). There are many other similar products out there and I don't have enough experience with them to rate them against each other. I think it would be fun to do in depth testing of different models and compare them against each other, unfortunately I also have a day job. I settled on this one based on the positive reviews it had, the battery capacity vs price and the length of warranty (after my bad experience with that lead acid jump starter that never worked as advertised and a manufacturer who refused to talk to anyone after 30 days) - lesson learned.Update: 1/28/20 I jumped a flooded 5.7 liter pickup today with a flat battery from too much cranking. The Nexpow jump starter was able to crank the engine over at full speed and we were able to perform a clear-flood operation and get the truck back on the road. The unit performed admirably as it took a few tries to get the truck started. An initial concern of the battery leads on the jump starter being undersized and possibly heating up under heavy load never materialized and even after cranking the engine over for several 10-15 second bursts, the charge indicator never went down much. The unit seems to perform as advertised.
