Not easy to use outdoors. Might work well in a garage but in any kind of weather/wind you can’t get it to spray in the vehicle. Wind will carry it away into the abyss so not sure how well this stuff works as I live in Oklahoma where it’s always somewhat windy. Sucks because I was excited to try this stuff out as I drive 200 miles a day for work and have lots of bugs to remove.

I have used some other Nexgen products with mixed results. I was almost out of the typical bug and tar remover that I used, so thought it a good time to try Nexgen’s.I don’t know why the Amazon description says this is a Grease and Tar remover. It is, of course, just a mild degreaser, so grease and tar remover is correct, but the label on the bottle says bug and tar remover. That might make a difference to potential customers, so I suggest Nexgen correct that. The instructions say to dilute to the recommended strength, but nowhere could I find what that is supposed to be. I had a spare spray bottle and distilled water ready to dilute it, but no guidance on how much to dilute. I ended up using it full strength, starting in an inconspicuous area as per the instructions.I used this on our 2020 Tesla Model Y. This car smashes bugs better than any car I’ve ever had. It also tends to pick up random road grime on the “grill” area. This product simply works and works well. For bugs, it was simply wet the area down, spray this on the area and wait a bit. You can see where you’ve sprayed due to the product’s neon color, which is nice. Then after it’s had time to work, use a wet microfiber and the bug guts came off with no pressure, just a simple wipe down. Then I attacked some gunk on the bottom of the front bumper. I don’t know what this stuff was, it wasn’t from bugs or birds. It almost looks like year-old milkshake. (Probably was?) This gunk has survived three hand washings by me and who knows how many auto washes my wife drove through. The first pass with this product probably got 40% of it off. Not too bad. The second pass: all of it wiped right off. I was actually surprised. Because of where the gunk is on the car, I’ve missed it when doing bug removal when washing. It’s been there at least six months. Two applications with the Nexgen and it was gone.OK, good enough for me. This works better than the product I’ve been using for many years, so it’s supplanted that as my go-to bug and tar remover.

So they did some road work for a couple of months on a usual path and unfortunately, we got some tar on our white car. Perfect opportunity to try this spray (see the before and after pictures). As a disclaimer, we have not used this type of product before on removing tar, so we don't have other products to compare against but overall, it helped but it took 2-5 rounds of spraying and wiping to get it clean (depending on how stubborn/caked on it was). More detailed thoughts:Pros: it is odorless, the color helps to identify where the product is (better on lighter colors), liquid consistency is like water so easy to spray and easy to get a fine mist if neededCons: need to do multiple rounds (with elbow grease) to get all the tar off, pricey for 8 oz

This product isn't your typical bug and tar remover. The old school stuff I've used for the last 35 years is $7 a can. You spray it on and wait a few minutes while it attacks the gunk. Then you rinse it off and scrub with a soapy sponge. It always worked "okay" but still took some elbow grease to achieve a clean surface. It also would strip any shine or wax that was once present. That was always a downside I didn't like. This Nexgen liquid while more costly, doesn't require nearly as much product to get bugs and tar off the car. You spray a little on and it seems to really penetrate the area on contact. It visibly dissolves the gunk and seems to lubricate as well. I don't see where it dissolves the layer of wax on my car either which is a huge plus. It's definitely different from the old school stuff and works much better with far less effort from you and your sponge.Another good aspect of this stuff is that it is safe for virtually every surface of your car - paint, plastic, vinyl, etc. So you don't have to worry about it melting or discoloring certain areas of your vehicle. If you use it judiciously I think the higher price ends up not costing any more than the $7 can of petroleum distillate that I've used for decades. It's about time somebody came up with something better than the old stuff.
