These devices emit noises that sound just like crickets. I took double sided tape and attached these to the back of my victims headboard on their bed and a few other strategic locations around their house. One of the best parts is that these only chirp at random intervals, sometimes only once in 15 or 20 minutes, so they can be extremely difficult to track down. Evil fun.

Worked for me! Ordered 2 boxes of 3 units each. Today was superbowl 59. Went to a friend's house for a SB party. I left 3 of these behind.Nobody seemed to notice the infrequent chirps during the game but me. That's OK. When things get quiet- someone there will notice eventually . I've got another box of 3. 1 went to my old uncle's bedroom. 2 are coming with me to the office tomorrow. I've bought something like this before a few years ago. Great practical joke!

These are similar to the old "annoy-a-tron" that you used to be able to purchase from Think Geeks years ago. For years, there was not a similar device available after the annoy-a-trons were no longer available. Now there is a suitable replacement. There are two enhancement I could suggest: 1) add a magnet to the back (I super-glued one to each), and 2) add a volume switch. I still highly recommend this product. The price is great as well.

Had friends hunting for a cricket for almost a month. Need to put them under something of imbedded. They’re LOUD and if you can hear it clearly, it sounds digital/fake. Tuck it away and you’ll swear there’s a cricket

These are really fun and a great value for adding some fun in the house. The kids and I take turns finding and hiding. The sound is pretty neat, many sounds to choose from. The battery life is great and its easy to use. The functionality is well suited.
