My ironing board doesn't have the stand attachment for the iron when not in use. This stand is sturdy, doesn't slide and is perfect for placing the hot iron and not burning the cover!

After years of watching my irons topple off the ironing board, falling onto the hardwood floor and putting dents in the floor and breaking the iron, I finally invested in this. So happy that I did.It just sits on the board... actually holds the iron upright when necessary... and works well when putting the iron downflat to adjust the article of clothing.Great purchase... very happy, problem solved, no more falling irons !!
