One of the more satisfying hand tools to use is a scraper. Its satisfying to use because in many ways, allows you to do away with sanding, and at the same time produces a very precise and even finish. Its a tool that's indispensable when leveling a hardwood.Made from 0.032" (0.81mm) Thick Blue Spring Steel.

Scraper Burnisher
- The wooden handle is designed to fit the palm of the hand, comfortable to grip and easy to use.Help you hone the card scraper to save effort and non-slip.

Hone the card scraper
- Using a burnishing tool made of very hard high carbon steel, a 'Burr' is created along the edges of the scraper as shown. This is done by pushing the burnishing tool very firmly onto the scraper, and pushing it along the edge of the scraper.
- This causes the corners of the scraper to deform and form a sort of hook shaped burr. The burr is very small, and barely visible.
- To form a burr on the scraper, a square edge is needed. Unless the scraper is brand new, the first step is to file off any remains of the old, worn burr.
- Successful burnishing does require that the burnishing tool be harder than the scraper
- A new scraper doesn't even come with a usable edge out of the box,so burnishing the scraper is an essential part of it use.

I had a very good card scrapper I used for years until someone (Son) borrowed and lost it. I bought these, but I only needed the rectangular card scrapper. These are ok scrappers but the burnisher is worthless. Went back to using a worn-out milling tool shank as a burnisher to do the job. Save money and just get a card scrapper.

These helped a lot in my first ever refinish project. Don’t drop them the tips will bend and it will be useless. If you’re impulsive and this is your first time using something like this, be careful, if you slip it will gouge the wood. Otherwise product is great

Bought these to use when stripping furniture of old paint and varnish.They come sharp from the package and there are enough shapes to handle just about any detailed wood surface!Be careful not to gouge wood as they are made from steel!

I live in an old house with paint all over the floors in little splashes and around the baseboard moldings. These are doing a wonderful job helping me scrape the paint off of the floors! I use an almond stick to rehydrate the floor and they look as good as new! Very sharp, but I’ll say the smaller sized blades are more useful for me than the large ones.

These work excellent for scraping contours and slots. The included burnisher is wonderful. I get the same lip formed using a burnishing rod while the tool is in the vise as I do when holding the scraper in one hand and pressing burnisher against the edge, pressing firmly and just taking a couple swipes.Due to the lips formed, you'll likely want to wear gloves when using these, which is a good idea when working with any sharp tools and around wood that may give you nasty slivers in either case.I've used the contour lip on picture frame and the wide and narrow slot scrapers and had wonderful experience which went smooth and fast! No other tool can do what these do for contours and tight spots which a chisel cannot reach into (such as a channel for glass, only a saw blade width).Highly recommend this set, the burnisher included makes it a great deal, it comes with a nice pouch to hold all the scrapers along with the burnisher.

Perfect for those router grooves. I have to wear a leather glove when using them.
