This battery is the one specified for the Ten Tec Orion II (Model 566) Ham Radio transceiver. YouTube has great instructional videos as to how to replace the existing/original battery and once replaced you get full functioning of your Radio back without having to reprogram the options each time you turn it off and turn it back on.My radio displayed the following problem, which is a clue that you need to replace this original battery to solve the problem. If you have to reprogram the options, menus, and frequency memories each time you turn on the radio, after turning it off, then you need to replace this battery. The use of this battery for Ten Tec brand Amateur Radios, Model 566 Orion II radios may not be the only use for the battery, but it is one of the uses of this battery and this particular battery solves the need to reprogram the radio every time you power it down.As I indicated there are YouTube videos showing the procedure to replace the battery on the board behind the front panel, but there is no difficulty if you can follow those directions and I usually look at more than only video describing the replacement procedure. Since the battery is not screwed in but rather just plugged in it is easy to remove using a plastic spudger if you have one, otherwise my might have an insulated flat blade screwdriver. Hopefully you will have another person to help you or work with you, but either way this is the battery you need for the OEM Ten Tec Orion II backup battery.
