Once I had a battery loaded, I could figure out which cable terminated in which room in a CAT6-wired home within a few minutes. Good price for something I will use very rarely, yet saved me a lot of time of trial and error.

The product did not work after one month, tested it when It first arrived, worked fine, needed it one month latter and it did not work, confirm it did not work on a brand new factory cable.

Great product that works and does the job it was designed for. It can be used to test cables built by user and for continuity of long cables between rooms. I plugged a cable that I knew was working into the ethernet wall jack in bedroom connected tester to cable then connected other unit of tester to cable that plugs into router on other side of house. It showed a fault. I checked cable in attic and found where rodent had eaten into cable.Well worth the money and seems well made even though its plastic. I would buy it again.

Got this to test some connections I was making / ethernet cables I was terminating. Really handy little device and super basic operation. Helped confirm all of my crimps were solid before installing things in annoying locations.

Just received the tester, looks great. tried working patch cable to make sure tester is ok. Tested out a few, LED #1 never turns on, normal ? And this happens on both ends of the tester. For what i know, on a network cable, cables 1-2-3-6 are the main ones. So LED #1 should light up. Do i have to return the tester ?
