I bought this router to save money every month on my internet bill and it works great!I like this router because it's easy to use, has customizable options for network settings, and having my own router saves me form having to rent a router from my internet provider.I also like that I can turn this router on of off with the simple press of a button.I do not like sleeping with my internet or phone on (personal preference, don't judge me!) and this router offers me the ability to "un-plug" without any hassle.I love it!Highly recommended!

Got my first one bedroom apartment all to myself! My own bachelor pad.. but I needed a few things including a modem/router that was compatible with Cox. I picked up the Netgear AC1200 CMR (C6220) and honestly it works perfect. I got the midrange plan @ 150 Mbps (down) and 10 Mbps (up). That’s perfect for me. and the modem router tops out on the speed tests everytime. Got the LAN plugged in my PS4 now and it’s doing 143 Mbps download so NO MORE LAGGING. I love that thing. Does what it’s supposed to, looks great, and haven’t had any issues since I set it up. the app to personalize it with creating a new SSID and Password, the moderating you can do from the app the network is fantastic, and even the super simple walkthrough to assist getting everything all setup is just the icing on top. Sticking w Netgear for the long haul. Thank you!

This was very easy to use and the instructions was very easy to understand. However I do feel like the signal does not reach all of the rooms in my apartment very strongly so I had to move it a few times to find a good central location for it. I did call my Internet provider and give them the model number and the brand and they were able to locate it quickly and send a refresh signal and everything worked fast with this being said they were my tech-support and not the routers tech-support but everything seem to work fine. I purchased this unit because it stated it works with Spectrum and has a decent WiFi range. Our area is currently Time Warner and transitioning to Spectrum. I did catch that at least one other review noted the experience was not pleasant in connecting to TWC. In reviewing the "officially" supported hardware, this particular unit is not on the list but after a brief conversation over the phone with a Spectrum tech it *should* work. Myself being in the networking field I figured I would overcome any obstacles that were presented. The AC1200 cable modem wifi router (C6220) arrived yesterday and I worked on the setup. Right off, again as others have warned, the GUI on this is extremely slow. Once it is setup properly I should not have to go back to make changes very often so this is not a show-stopper. I ran through the initial setup, customized the wireless settings and called Spectrum to activate the modem. To keep it short: it took 2 calls with Spectrum support over 2.5hrs and three techs before getting the device to function properly. This particular unit did not fit into their cookie-cutter profile and was erroneously being pushed a "bridged only" config. The last tech, a supervisor, listened to what I described (that is, all the routing and wifi functionality disappeared after joining their network) and instead of insisting that I call Netgear, figured it out the problem within minutes, sent a different config to it and fixed the issue. At this point the router is working and it has definitely improved the wifi range in my home. It is located in the upstairs and signal strength is decent even in the far corners of the basement, which was not the case with my previous router. The rating is based on the router itself, not the struggles I had with Spectrum tech support. That was the risk I took when purchasing an unsupported device.
