What else can I say that I didn't put in the headline. This Stylus Force Scale Gauge is very easy to use and seems to be very accurate. Included batteries and a calibration weight should you ever need to recalibrate the scale. I found it to be a very easy process. I changed out my phono cartridge and head shell, so I referred the tone arm with the new head shell, then used this force scale to check the tracking force that I had dialed into the tonearm, worked perfectly! Highly recommended.

This little gadget is easy to use and accurate. I thought I had my tonearm set right, according to the notches on the wheel, but after using stylus force gauge I saw that I was more than a gram too heavy. Good price, too.

i was a bit skeptical when I first saw it as I had been wanting a stylus force scale since they were $800! I have several scales for baking and cooking and know that tagging Audio on to a product increases the percieved value. Neotek is accurate and includes a known weight and I validated the weight on my other calibrated scales and it was accurate (5.00 gms). I did not have a 1gm weight to test further but suffice it to say I was pleasantly surprised. it is easy to use but care must be taken not to damage the stylus so preventing the platter from rotating IF accidently it was nudged is a priority. Using the tonearm lift I lifted up and down my stylus onto the scale and was able to make the readings.Word of caution:DO NOT ADJUST THE TONEARM weights whilst the needle is resting on the scale.Always raise the stylus and move it to the secure holder, clamp it and then make adjustments to the weight.I only gave it 4 stars as I woulld prefert to add light so that it is eaiser to locate the target circle for the needle to land on. I used the llght on my phone and it helped but could also use a magnifier as the needle is extremely small. But the orange target circle can be lined up with the width of the cartridge and with a little bit of knowledge of where the stylus / needle is with respect to the cartridge body, it can be properly lined up.It is a 5 star product and comes with batteries (extra set as well!!), calibration weight, case, scale target protection cover and some instructions that were not very helpful per se. It's very self explanatory but it always helps to have pictures and or drawings to help with the explanation. For the price, best deal for audiophiles!

Cannot beat the price to begin with. No brainer, this is made well and is quite sensitive and appears very accurate when I make adjustment to the tracking force of the stylus, and comparing the adjustments using my inherent scaled ring that is built into the turntable. Appears that my table adjuster ring may be a smidge off; not that I think that without this force scale that the accuracy with the force adjustment of the turntable alone would result in any serious negative result; it just feels very sensitive and accurate and seems to work just as good as the best of them; the 5 gram test weight included was measured at 5.000 grams by the electronic scale, so it's impressively accurate, and I'm glad I included it in my phonograph paraphernalia.

As I now have more than one cartridge, I needed away to make sure the pressure is right for each one to adjust the counter balance weight. This has worked great. Gets me to the pressure needed for the needle quick and easy. Just turn on and rest the needle in the center of the scale. Quick results. I now know the weight setting on the arm for each cartridge I have. They sound great and the record is played as meant.

The Neoteck comes with a nice leather cover.Easy to operate. They supply a 5 gram "standard" weight to allow you to calibrate the unit.Mine read exactly 5 grams - so it was right on the dot.And it is very sensitive.I used it to calibrate a new cartridge on a Pioneer PL-518; I looked up the recommended weight for the cartridge (Audio-Technics Green) which was around 2g. It took a little fussing with the turntable arm's weight adjustment to get it on 2g - it was 1.99 when I finished.Be careful that you get the stylus centered on the target sensor on the Neoteck, although I suspect the instrument is set up to allow a little off-center placement.I have two other turntables I need to calibrate.I will let you know how those go.

I've always set the tracking force the old school way (balancing the tone arm, zeroing out the counterbalance, then dialing in the recommended weight). This has served me well over many decades and many turntables. But as I began investing more money in better turntables and better cartridges, I wanted to get the most out of the equipment, and setting the tracking force as accurately as possible seemed like a good place to start. I used this Neotech device to measure my three different turntables. One was spot on, but the other two were off by .1-.2g. That's not a lot, but it's something. For this small investment, it's worth it. My only concern was that the measuring platform where the stylus rests (to measure the downward force) is not truly parallel to the platter surface as you might expect. It's off by what could be 5-10 degrees. Does this result in an inaccurate reading? I can't say for sure, but I don't think it's a problem and here's why: The device comes with a weight to confirm accuracy before you even bother to set your stylus on it. My readout was spot on, so I'm inclined to think that the manufacturer has compensated for the platform being not not quite parallel. This device isn't something you'll need to use often, but you'll be glad you have it.
