As a photographer I've purchased Neewer equipment in the past so I know the brand makes quality stuff. I love the portability and ease of setup, the multiple arms that can be easily set at various angles and heights makes it the perfect overhead mount for my needs. It feels well built and the price wasn't too bad compared to other overhead mounts that I've looked at.

I'm very happy with my purchase. It has a sturdy build but doesn't feel heavy. It was very easy to assemble. I'm able to mount my light, my mic and camera

I love seeing the new products this year. You can tell the materials used are stronger and functions have been upgraded from the all the crap being pushed out during corona virus! I would recommend if the price is not a big deal for you. I have a tameron 17-70 and it can hold my camera at even the weirdest angles(1pound lens)

Neewer churns out some neat photo and video accessories. This gem provides mounting points for cameras, lights, mics, what6ever you want up to 11 pounds total. A common setup would be a camera pointed at you, another camera pointed straight down to film whatever you’re doing with your and a light on the top. With all that, you’re set to do an instructional or craft video, with one video stream showing you and the other showing what you’re doing. This is a very sturdy setup. The clamp that holds it to the table is heavy duty. The vertical column is thick enough not to shake and the articulating and fixed arms are equally strong. You can add other clamps and articulating arms to mount other items, like microphones. Just don’t exceed the weight limitation. Eight cable ties are included. If, like many creators, you have limited space, this is a great way to create a production center in very little space.Jerry

The metal to clamp this down to the desk is not well made. Came thread locked into the metal that is attached to the metal piece on the desk mount. Has a plastic turn handle to secure it to the desk. The poles don’t even extend. I’m returning this to the manufacturer

I was very pleasantly surprised at both the quality of construction and design: the tubes, hinges/pivots and tighteners are all solid and comfortable to use, and everything stays where it is positioned despite having e.g. the camera and a pan/tilt head at the end of the arm. The handle for the desk clamp tightener has a built-in clutch of sorts, so the handle can be rotated freely and then re-engaged when fixing in a restricted space such as against a wall, or near a desk leg, which makes the difference between frustration and delight. The free arm attachments have rubberised internal faces which ensure both a solid grip and lack of scratching. My one, tiny, regret is that the "resolution" of the internal grooves that help lock the arms into place isn't as fine as I would like. It's not as though it's only limited to very coarse angles, but a little more flexibility in angle would be nice. (ngle increments seem to be 10 degrees... nine steps per quarter circle)That said, anything Neewer want to throw at me for review, I would be delighted to! (I've also bought their GL1 Pro lights, and a phone mount)No stars for "camera quality" or "sound quality" because, duh!, they're not part of the kit!

Neewer turn out some great kit (apart from the arca rail fiasco) every thing I’ve had from them has been very good quality and performed exactly as promised without breaking the bank. This is a solid bit of kit that you can tell even before unboxing just from the weight of it.Yes you can buy cheaper but you’re going to be forever repositioning the arms due to creep.Buy decent and buy once is applicable here for sure

The NEEWER Overhead Desk Mount Rig Stand kit is a highly flexible arm for mounting devices. The main boom attaches to your desk with a c clamp; the clamp will work with desks up to 9cm thick. The clamp itself is about 5cm wide. The screw has a large plastic handle that makes it easy to attach and detach.I have mounted mine behind my monitors to hold a led light and my webcam so I can get better video for conference calls. This means I’m using the main arm, and the longer attachable arm. The main boom comes in 3 sections; I’m using two of them to get above my monitors; and the third section to hold an LED light in the photos (I switched the camera and light around afterwards.) The adjustable arms mean I can move the camera and light over one of my screens and get a more face on video conference. It’s easy to adjust the arm. The mounting points have ¼ 20 screws and a locating pin if your device supports one. Though the mounting is the wrong way around or my purpose – its parallel to the arm rather than tangential to it. The pins are spring loaded though so they easily get out of the way.The arm in not using right now is half the length of the articulating one with my webcam on it. Both the removable arms attach with strong c clamps onto the main pole. I think I’m going to add a microphone to it; and that will be easier thanks to the bag of connectors and pins that come in the box. If your device isn’t ¼ 20 there are 3/8, 5/8 adaptors and ¼ thread microphone pins. You should be able to connect most mountable media devices without needing to reach for duct tape (There is even some Velcro, so you don’t need it for cable management.)If you don’t want to use it for web conferencing; the main arm supported my R5 with a heavy lens mount. If you want to get an arm to help with overhead shooting it works nicely for that; and would allow you to setup a compact streaming setup on your desk.
