Who approved this design? I mean seriously.I feel weird using it. I feel weird even just having it.It does work. And it works good but I cannot get past the design

The lads and lasses at Neewer have done it again. They have created an excellent battery charger for the common NP-F series batteries - but not a common "two slot" unit. This unit has four charging posts! That's pro level!Year ago, I was working a job where the director actually brought along his own personal video camera. He did not have a fast charger, nor any kind of multi-slot charger, so every day at 3am his alarm would go off, so he could change over his batteries He did this for days! Not the smartest way to work...Neewer would have solved all those problems. With both fast charging and four bays to charge with, this is pretty much a "must have" if you use these kind of batteries. If you are shooting for two days in a row, you don't want be like that old director. With the four bay Neewer, you just load it up and forget about it. If you have six or eight batteries, get two of these chargers. Without power, the best camera out there becomes an expensive paperweight. Or your monitor. Or your light. You need power to make everything work!Use an adapter that can supply a load of power (100w), and use the USB-C cable supplied. Believe me, you need it. The OLED screen is extremely sharp, and with good contrast. Not only will it tell you how the charge per battery is going, it also tells you in the input to the whole charger is ok. As well as listing the voltage and wattage. Talk about detailed.Six of the eight sides, near the base, has air venting for dissipating heat as well, due to the design, each battery is charged on end, again aiding in dissipating heat. And excellent innovative idea!Bottom Line - An high level, professional charger. If you use any of the batteries this charger works with, you need this unit.

I do sports broadcasts and we use several small flat panel lights that take NP-F batteries. We have been using a few single and double chargers to recharge, but as you might guess it gets a bit cluttered at times. The design of this helps keeps more organized. The charger works well so far and I will likely at least 1 more. I am using it plugged into the USB slot on a power strip and while I don't really know the current draw for that, It works well enough that I can top off all the batteries each day before I need them. It does at least as well as the AC powered dual chargers while charging twice as many batteries.I am very happy with it.

Charges all my 4 NP batteries at the same time - different sizes (capacity) - all fits at the same time.It looks very bulky, but actual size is not that bad. However, I would think this would sit on my desk at home for charging batteries at home.USB C cable proficed with charge is one of the best quality cable that comes with any chargers I purchased. Braided high quality cable!LED screen shows how's each battery being charged.I can now charge batteries for my LED light and camera monitor at the same time.Recommend!

This can charge up to 4 NP-F batteries at a time. I use NP-F batteries for a variety of lights that I own along with some wireless microphone receivers and monitors. I like how easy it is to insert and remove the batteries from this charger and the base is heavy enough so that it does not move when placing and removing the batteries. The display is a bit small but clear enough that you can see the charging progress for each battery. The 100W helps charge each of the batteries more quickly than other chargers I own and it comes with a nice USB C cable, just make certain you have a power adapter (USB C) that can deliver a full 100W to charge things quickly.

I'm so glad I got my hands on this charger. I use a lot of NP-F batteries and I'm sure many of us do. Whether in my panel lights, camera slider, camera monitor, etc. And it's such a headache to charge them afterwards. Even the night before a shoot its a pain to have to top off all the batteries and make sure they're good to go for the next day.In my experience, the chargers that come with most batteries aren't that fast. And they usually only charge 1 or 2 max at a time. And usually they have 1 led light. It tells you charged or full, no in between. And sometimes it takes so long you question if it's even working. This 4 bay charger solves pretty much all of those issues. It does 4 at once, it charges fast. It tells you the status in 25% increments (4 bars), and you can see how much power is actually being delivered by checking the second screen. I love this thing. I should've gotten something like it sooner.I haven't found any issues yet. But definitely keep an eye on it for getting warm. I'll also say the nylon braided USB C cable feels very nice. I'm not sure what it's Watt power rating is but it's sufficient for the charger. I'm happy with this product.

We have some small panel lights that use these types of batteries, and this is a good charger to charge up to four lights at the same time in a very small footprint.Have only had it for a short time, but charging times are good, the the charge indicator display (while small) is very helpful in indicating the charge status for each individual battery.I've had great luck with a large variety of Neewer products, and this one is another win!

The Neewer 4-channel NP-F battery charger (model name: NW-F4) is for my workflow an efficient tool because I am using NP-F batteries for video lights, field monitors, cameras, but also for NP-F batteries when they have a USB-C OUTput connector for charging my common devices like phone, drone batteries etc. That means I have quite some NP-F batteries and a 4-channel charger is an upgrade to my current 2-channel chargers. This NEEWER NP-F4 is great for using in a studio or home environment but also for traveling. The output channels are rated as follows: 8.4Vx0.9A times 4 (minimum charging equals 7.56 Watt per channel); 8.4Vx1.8A times 4 (equals 15.12 Watt); and for NP-F970 batteries up to 8.4Vx2.5A times 4 (maximum charging equals 21Watts per channel). To see how it works I tested NP-F970 and NP-F550 batteries on the charger and the batteries charge at the same time at their respective battery-dependent rating: for example, connected to a GaN 100W Fast charger or alternatively to my power station, the NEEWER NW-F4 shows an input voltage of 20V and the Amp is dependent on the type of battery, but with the NP-F550 (also Neewer batteries) it came down to 7Watts per channel, basically as stated in the description -- and when adding a second NP-F550, the output wattage as a total is displayed as 14Watts. If you add more batteries, the output wattage increases, as expected. The time needed for charging a battery depends on its overall capacity, but the given time frames of 3 hrs for a model NP-F970 battery with 7800mAh and 4.5 hrs for a 10500mAh battery seem plausible given they are never at zero capacity. The charger max charging power can only be reached when using an input with 100 Watts -- the PD USB-C cable is included, however, you need your own GaN fast charger or connect the cable to a power station via a USB-C port with that power output rate. The display is tiny but well readable and delivers the relevant information I like to see: real time charging status of each battery: and with a button click the voltage, current, temperature, and power output.Batteries with undervoltage protection that have dropped down to sleep mode will be recognized and lifted into normal status; the charger also features a little fan that kicks in when the charger gets too warm. I like that I can mix the different types of NP-F batteries in this charger and its compact form factor. -- all-in-all a relatively smart charger and I believe I can trust with my NP-F's.I am very happy with this charger.
