I did not like the seam ripper part, you have to struggle to hold it to use. It does not lock in place to use easily, I did not use the threader, it was not that great.

These broke the first use. Went through all 3 of them in 1 sitting. Needle threader never worked and the thread ripper fell out before I could even use it.

Love the idea of this product and the color!However, I do think it’s inconvenient that you have to press and hold for the tool to stick out. So if I’m trying to rip out multiple stitches, I have to make sure I have pressure on the lever to get the seam ripper to stick out.I also wish the threader would stick out a little bit farther from the handle. My picture shows it pushed out all the way.Personally I don’t think I’ll reach for this tool very often because of those points.

I received three boxed needle threaders as described. Both sides come retracted in the body of the handle.I didn't like that the seam ripper couldn't be permanently extended, which provides a lot of hand strain to use it.I also wasn't impressed with the needle threader which doesn't really do a good job of threading the needle. What it does is pushe a loop through the eye, but if you pull the needle out too quickly the loop is also pulled out. So it takes a few careful tries to get it through the needle. I found this aggravating.I can only give this product a 3-star recommendation.A 5 star would mean having a catch that allows the seam ripper to remain extended by choice, rather than depending on the user to hold it out side the body of the tool. It would also mean to have a needle threader that works the first time.

Pretty nifty little gadget. Got this to go in my travel sewing basket. I really like the fact that the seam ripper is retractable. No more worries about accidentally stabbing yourself when reaching for it. The needle threader does work, but it is glitchy. It usually takes several tries to get the needle lined up correctly.

I wish I could have liked this product, but unfortunately, I couldn't. The plastic case contains a needle threader at one end and a seam ripping tool at the other end. The tool is controlled by a sliding lever at each end. The stitch ripper came loose on mine (it looks like it was not properly seated in position inside to begin with). I'm going to try to salvage it by gluing it back in. The "automatic" needle threading part is anything but automatic. The lever at the threading end of the tool pushes out a small metal piece approx 1/8" long and the hook on the end to hold the thread is microscopic. I tried the illustrated technique of inserting the needle, wrap the hook with the thread, slide the lever so the hook goes back into the case, then pull the now-threaded needle out. I could not get this to work with a needle that has a very small eye, but I tried it again with a slightly larger eye that did work. So I would recommend that if you want a needle threader not to get this one when there are others that are much easier to see and use.
