I am an avid cross stitcher, but I do it in spurts. As a result, I put my needle down for long periods of time too. i usually just stick the needle in a corner of the fabric and leave it. When I change thread I have the habit of sticking the needle in the arm of my recliner. Those aren’t always the best idea since I have pets that like to jump in and out of my lap and the chair. This needle holder keeps my needle in one spot and the magnets attach the holder itself securely to the fabric. It could even double as a cute pin. I think this is a great item for anyone who does needlework.

I always have a stitching project sitting next to my chair so I can work on it in my spare moments. This needle minders ensures that I know where my needle is all the time. It's easy to move but definitely holds the needle.

I sew at work quite a bit, and frequently have to put it down to help a customer. This is so surprisingly helpful! First off, because it has a magnetic backing, i can put it on my sweater and it just looks like a pretty brooch. The tree design is perfect for a witchy shop, too. Then, if i have to get up while i have needles or pins in my hands, i can just stick them onto the pin and not have to try to remember where i left them when i go back to my sewing. If these have been around forever, i feel like an idiot for not having found them earlier!

Dark blue, with matching tones of silver, gold, and fuchsia make this needle minder a one-of-a-kind treasure. The needle minder is the same thickness and weight of a nicer brooch. And maybe it's just me cuz I've never had one of these before and they're so clever...but I love this little guy. The two pieces, when placed on either side of my sewing machine cover, where one side is polyester and the other side is a light quilted canvas material, held together well and needles clung to the needle minder (owl) as they should. This is a great tool - no more accidentally sitting on lost needles for me - wish I'd heard about these years ago. :)

Being a cat lover, I couldn't resist. And being a sewer, I doubly couldn't resist.As a pin, this is a bit larger than I expected. There is a gap between the fabric of my shirt and the bottom of the pin. It is also heavier than most pins I have. However, the magnets are very strong and you need to slide the magnets rather than pull them to separate them.As a needle minder, this is great! As mentioned the magnets are pretty strong. To test magnets, I hang the item from metal, usually a shelf, to see if it can at least hold itself. Not only could this hold itself, I was able to magnetically attach some scissors and both didn't fall from the shelf.

I love when functional looks pretty - and that describes this needle minder perfectly! The heart shape is about 2 inches tall by 2 inches wide and has a stained-glass appearance. It attaches to my shirt with a magnetic back which is designed to feel smooth and comfortable against the skin. The magnet is strong enough that it held even when I shook my arm. I see myself wearing this as a brooch to quilting group, then using it to hold my pins while I'm there.
