Our Story
Felted Sky's owner/artist Elizabeth Whitton started needle felting in 2011 and fell in love with it. She quickly realized she had a knack for designing felted decorations and that she was also good at teaching other people how to make them. That is how our first kits came to be. Felted Sky was launched on Etsy in 2013 and grew from there. Ten years later it is now our family business that we work full time with a small but dedicated team. We're committed to bringing you the best needle felting kits and supplies so that you can be successful from the get-go and enjoy felting to the fullest!

Invest in a Long Lasting Work Surface
Most needle felting projects require a special work surface. There are a range of options from different types of foam blocks to rice-filled burlap pillows. Our wool mat is extra big and thick and will last a really really long time. Perfect for any type of needle felting you want to do.
Protect your Fingers
Pokes hurt! Accidentally stabbing yourself with the felting needle is a common occurrence especially when you're learning to felt. We recommend using finger guards for some extra protection.
Have Plenty of Needles on Hand
Felting needles can bend and break easily. They are made for the manufacture of nonwoven fabrics and materials so they don't always hold up well when we use them for making all sorts of art. We recommend having extra needles so you can keep right on felting if you bend or break one in the middle of a project.

I love the needles themselves which is why I ordered 25. Unfortunately I only received 7. I submitted a return to try again and AGAIN only received a container of seven needles. I'm extremely frustrated because there is NO option to speak to someone to rectify the problem, and my only option is to return it. They are fantastic needles, but when I pay for 25, and only receive 7 twice in a row.... I can't justify it, and have to look elsewhere. such a bummer.

As a very busy needle felter, I need quality products that last for the whole project. These are exactly what I needed after going through 10-15 needles of a no name, variety pack only getting through 2/3 of the project. You get what you pay for. These needles are 100 percent better than my last.

The color coding is useless as there is no simple guide to tell which color is which size, thereby making the entire thing useless. All she had to do is insert a small piece of paper indicating which color meant which size. Instead she inserted a promo sheet of paper urging us to purchase other things.

Just started up needle felting again after I dug out my crafting stash. Kept breaking the needles I had, and they did not really do the job well. Did some research and decided to bite the bullet, spend a little more for quality needles and these are really wonderful and worth it. Have not broken one yet, and you can "feel" the difference immediately between these and the bulk purchase on the cheap needles. I will buy Groz-Beckert exclusively from now on. Well worht it, especially for starting back into the art form.

Felted Sky has offered a great selection of Felting Needles! These are the needles you need the most for both core and finishing felting of most every type. Each needle is clearly color-coded. Plus the safety container features a color code with information on each needle's size, type of barbs and intended use. This is particularly useful information for beginning felters. And just in case a felter might forget, tucked inside there is also a safety warning on handling these needles. Having previously purchased a felting kit and a felting mat from Felted Sky, I was thrilled to see that they are now offering some of their products on Amazon.

I just started needle felting maybe a year now and i have only been purchasing cheap needles. I thought I would go ahead and try this due to the reviews and i can tell a difference. Very happy with my purchase
