This kit is SO cute! I have done other several needle felting kits and it is so much fun! This comes with SO much wool, finger guards, needles, wooden needle holders and a pad to felt on top of. If you know the basics of needle felting this kit is well worth it!

I needed the colors in this kit and the needles and pad, to create a Yorkie, I did not have my supplies from home. These are very nice cut fiber, nice needles and an excellent pad.Quick shipping as well. Excellent buy.

This is the best set I’ve found for learning felting. Each cat has its supplies in a separate bag with instructions. The felting material doesn’t smell terrible like other sets I’ve found. I think this is a great beginners set.

I found these kits after my daughter and I watched a YouTube video where our favorite crafting couple were making little wool-felt versions of their kitty Jubee. I knew we had to give it a try! They included everything that you never knew you'd need with this kit (Finger guards, THANK YOU)! There aren't enough parts for two people to work at the same time (please don't misunderstand, it was not advertised as a kit for two people) so we take turns and learn from each other! The instructions are easy to follow but for the more visual learners, the videos are so helpful! We are having a great time! I will say, my daughter's dog is looking better than mine and as the kit has enough supplies to make 6 dogs, I fully expect each will look better than the last! I tried to find age recommendations beyond "beginner" but found none. My daughter is 12 and as I mentioned, she's off to a stronger start than I am! I love that though there are instructions for multiple dog breeds included, you could repeat a single set of instructions and make a whole pack of different colors of one breed of dog! Great fun & awesome memories being made! So happy with this find!

4 stars because you REALLY need to understand a few basic techniques of felting to have success.The biggest thing to understand is doling out the wool in appropriate proportions for each limb and the body pieces. The second thing to understand is joining limbs and heads to body pieces and making the joins smooth without wasting wool.This is not a beginner kit at all. It does come with everything you need, if you are advanced enough to understand the 2 above listed techniques. The resulting cats are cute, but won't necessarily look exactly like the photos provided because felting is a sculpting technique and turning a 2D idea into a 3D object is not that easy.I do suggest extra wool and extra needles, always, as these kits don't always allow for breaking needles, and I felt really densely so I run out of wool unless I am really careful about proportioning wool.

Clear instructions provided with all the material needed to create felted kittens as pictured. Fun to make and keep for yourself or give as gifts. It is compact and one can take it along when traveling. Very reasonable priced.

This beginner Needle Felting Kit comes with everything you need to make a litter of needle felted puppies.I was recently organizing my craft supplies and found a bag full of needle felting roving and tools that I purchased a VERY long time ago to repair a cherished felt soft sculpture that had developed some holes. I had intended to try other needle felting projects but except for creating a flower to go on a knitted head band for my niece I never did. It went into the closet and was forgotten. Until I found it all again and started wanting to try the craft again.I looked at a number of kits but many were either not appealing projects or the instructions did not seem clear for a beginner. I wanted something that would give me a curse and forgiving finished product, and teach me the basics of needle felting so that I can move pn to other more advanced projects. I was actually looking for a kit for making Gnomes, but then I saw the puppies! There is a kitten kit also that looked very cute.This arrives in a nice but unassuming box. Ready to be wrapped up if purchased for a gift. It comes with the roving you will need to make 6 puppies. Each puppy kit has it's own bag of materials numbered. A corresponding "Birth Certificate" that is also the exact instructions to make that specific puppy. The instructions have good pictures, and are very clear step by step. There is a felting pad, and all the tools you need to do all 6 puppies. The tools also include finger protection. A nice touch. The kit I purchased all those years ago was quite pricey, and did not come with those. I ended up wearing leather gardening gloves. The felting needles are sharp, and it's easy to jab yourself accidentally.This kit is best for an older teen or adult. Be careful with the felting needles around young children.If you or someone you ned a gift for has been curious about the art of needle felting this is a nice starter kit. And once the puppies are all "born" you'll be left with a nice set of beginner tools to use making other projects. there are a lot of free patterns and tutorial on th internet. You don't have to always buy kit. Roving is available in many colors at any decent art/craft supply store or on Amazon.There is a tutorial called 7 Common Needle Felting Mistakes You might Be Making on line. I recommend watching it before getting started with even a beginner project like these puppies. And it's fun to watch.If you are looking for a fun introduction to Needle Felting. This is a great kit to start with.
