easy to instal! The cat tore my screen on the kitchen window, we were able to make this fit !

Purchased this so I could keep my window open in summer without the cat ending up on the roof!Other reviews suggest it is complicated to install, I found it very easy and logical.Helps having 2 people with the netting but otherwise easily a one person job.The netting is good quality and easy to trim (I did a bit of a shabby job as I was using scissors but a stanley would make it nice and clean)So far it is doing the job, only small thing is when I lift the side to open the window the whole thing tends to move. No a big deal as its magnetic but this could also be down to the shape of the window and location of the handle.

I’m currently living in the first apartment complex to not have window screens? I LOVE an open window and it has been bothering me for the last 3 years that I can only comfortably open them during the winter months. I tried/returned a kind of collapsible window screen. Epic fail and almost discouraged me from trying again. On a whim, I searched DIY window screen and this came up. I ordered the smallest size to test on one of my windows, and needless to say, my window has been up ever since I put it on earlier today. I am so thankful and so grateful for this. Will be ordering another kit for my other window. The instructions seem daunting when reading them for the first time, but reading them as you go it just clicks. I spent maybe 20-30 minutes installing. I saw a review on here from someone who had two grown men with sore thumbs who won’t be bowling for a while after trying to click the white part in place, and unless they changed something in the product I can say from experience that is a vast overstatement. Very dramatic. It was so easy I almost thought I was doing it wrong. My thumbs are fine and yours will be too if you order this kit 👍🏽

I have purchased a few of these and only one has had to be replaced. They were easy to install all by myself . I installed the 72*48 on three of my windows. One of the sets was noticeably different than the others from purchase (the plastic strip was not as white as the other 3 purchased). They were all installed on the same day. About 2 months after installation the plastic on the one that had a creamish colour started to crack and the adhesive at the top failed so the entire thing fell of the window. I replaced it with the same brand and I am happy I did. I have had no issues otherwise. I remove top layer with the mesh to wash my windows and put them back without any issues and this does not seem to affect the adhesive.I even bought a extra one for my grill at my door. I installed it using just the upper magnetic strip, the plastic and the mesh. Works great!

The Magnetic Mosquito blind works well and is simple to install. Two Biggest problems I had, which made the job take twice as long, was the paper information sticky tape which which was wrapped around the magnetic tape was stuck to the tape so hard that it would not peel off easily, took me 15mins of peeling and cleaning before the Magnetic Tape was clean ready for use. Second problem, again the Magnetic Tape, was peeling off the Red backing tape. When trying to peel the red tape backing tape off, it would peel off completely, it was a real task to separate the Red peel tape and leave the sticky tape on the magnetic strip, again an additional 15mins to complete the peeling - Total job time 1 hour with 30 mins messing around. But!…product does work well when completed.

I was a bit apprehensive to try these but did so based on the ridiculous quotes I received for replacement shades for my jalousie windows. Despite the placement of window controls, screw supports etc. theses screens can handle it. The magnetic strip is flexible and can accommodate window frame challenges. Much more streamlined than the original screens. Couldn’t be happier I found a good looking and effective solution. New screen pictured on the left compared to the much larger and clunkier old screen.

We are staying long term in an Airbnb and one of the windows is missing a screen. I looked for an adjustable screen I could place in the window, but couldn't find anything tall enough. This screen kit did the job perfectly! As others noted, it can be tough pressing the plastic seal in with the window mesh. I found it helped immensely to precut the right length of seal and apply by lifting the magnetic tape off and pressing on both sides (so you're applying pressure from the front and back) and then let the magnetic snap back to place as you finish sealing. I liked that it didn't require any special tools, just a tape measure (if you precut instead of cutting as you apply to the window) and scissors. It's currently on the exterior of the window with the sun beating down on it and so far no adhesion issues, but it's only been a couple weeks so not sure how this will stay up long term.

I have a number of small push-out windows with very little clearance between the frame and the blinds, thin frames, and bulging handles. They were looked at by two professional mesh installers, and neither would take the job without replacing the blinds first. They are almost new and expensive, so no go. This product beautifully solved the issue for a tiny fraction of the cost of a professional installation.I am useless when it comes to DIY, and yet found installing the product relatively easy, and the materials sufficiently forgiving. I perused earlier reviews, which provided lots of useful tips. Make sure to look at them as well. But the instructions are sufficiently detailed, and I would have eventually figured things out of my own. Installing my first mesh took 30-40 minutes, the second one under 20. The result looks clean, and by my third install they are looking professional too (tip: measure the strips beforehand rather than cutting them when applied to the frame so as to get everything perfectly square).I should also say that the company has been a pleasure to deal with. My windows are small (20"x20"), so a kit has sufficient mesh and strips for two windows, but only one set of corners. I didn't want to pay an extra $45 just for four plastic corners. I emailed the seller, and got a very fast response with a couple of reasonable options. One of them worked for me, and we were able to get the requisite materials delivered to my place in 48 hours. This doesn't happen often on Amazon! This company treated me right. I am happy to give them two thumbs up.

EDIT: I've had these screens up for over a year now, and they've worked great! However the adhesive for the magnet strip did start to weaken/fail along the top of one window and along the corners where the screen is frequently pulled back after a number of months. This was easily fixed with some glue, but I've knocked off 1 star since I think it should hold up to basic use like that.I live in an old apartment with shallow, single-pane windows without screens. We literally had duct-taped a screen into place in the living room just so we could open the window and not let bugs in or have the cats jump out of it.I ordered this for my room and it came quickly and worked out great! It looks really nice, the corner pieces have a little dish-shaped "hook" that's easy to grab to peel back the screen when you need to open and close the window, the magnets snap together really well, and the flexibility of the mesh means it can accommodate my window's slightly bulky latch when the window's closed. I can sleep with my window open at night and not have to worry about mosquitoes, I am so happy.Assembly:- Took me over an hour- I found the instructions easy to follow- The materials are pretty forgiving when you make mistakes- My window frame is very narrow, so I was worried the magnetic strip might be too wide but it's only about 11 millimeters wide- The magnetic and plastic strips can be cut with a halfway decent pair of scissors, you don't need anything fancy or super strong, the plastic strip is the toughest to cut- The screen material is easily sliced with a box cutter/Exacto knife, so cutting away excess is really easy- Getting the plastic strip to snap into place over the magnetic strip can be difficult, the suggestion to bend the plastic strip and roll it onto the magnetic strip works really well, just make sure you aren't accidentally sliding the plastic strip away from the corner slightly when you do this- Getting the corner pieces to snap into place over the plastic strip is also really hard! Getting the inner edge of the corner pieces in place first, then snapping the outer edge into place worked the best for me, you can use a pair of pliers to make this easier.- The screen comes with 2 wind clips that are easily to pull the adhesive off by mistake because the clips have one piece of adhesive used on both of them. Peel away the protective film from the outer edge of the wind clips then cut the adhesive in the middle between the 2 clips. If you try to pull it off from the middle where the 2 clips are joined you'll rip the adhesive off of both clips (I did this :( my fault for being careless)My one worry is that this screen is not meant to be a barrier against bigger, stronger critters. The mesh is really easy to cut, so my cats would shred it to pieces or just Kool-Aid Man their way right on through if they really wanted to. I'm not taking a star off for this because I expected this. This screen is meant to be flexible, not solid. This is built for bugs and bugs only and it works perfectly for that so I can't really fault it for not also containing kitties.If you have pets and need a screen that can stand up to your cat/dog/whichever, I'd suggest looking for something else with a stronger screen material and a sturdier frame. Or you can get this and find something to create a barrier to stop your pets from getting to the screen. I ordered another of these to replace the duct-taped screen in the living room and got some bars to stop my cats from pushing/leaning against the screen so they won't tumble out the window.Also the frame is meant to be flexible, which is really nice for smaller windows but larger windows make the frame feel really wobbly and flimsy. I'm quite happy with it on my room's window (which is about 33 inches tall by 23 inches wide) but my living room window is about 45 inches tall and the frame feels pretty noodley in the height when I peel the screen back too much.

First time bothering to write a review because I'm so happy!! Thought I was either destined for a stuffy room or a room filled with mosquitos this summer. Not anymore!Simple to install with provided instructions and good amount of material in kit.Fyi, for people with my style of window- simple enough to peel off to open and close window.

I’ve been looking for a screen that I could use in conjunction with the window A/C unit. I have been unable to find anything I could use. Then I can across this product and couldn’t be happier. It’s the perfect solution for what I’m looking for and extremely versatile.Instillation:The instructions were easy to follow and satisfying to complete. This product comes in pieces and it’s up to you to completely build the screen. Though it may take about an hour (for me- little to zero handiness) it’s easy for anyone to put together. I would recommend drawing the window out on cardboard first, laying out the cut pieces on magnetic strip, rather than installing one magnetic strip at a time. It was a little difficult to install and measure in my recessed window (see pictures). In the end it worked great and it’s nice to have some airflow in my room again.Plus:- the magnetic mounting makes it easy to take on and off if I want to use my A/C unit.- excellent seal will keep our spiders.- instructions were easy to follow.Deltas:- the magnetic strips were labeled incorrectly.- the magnetic strips and frame pieces are wound up and it makes the screen buckle. You will want to bend the pieces in the opposite direction to straighten out.- you can tell this was put together by a beginner. My measurements were slightly off and makes the screen look a little strange. That’s why I recommend drawing out on cardboard or large paper then cut the pieces.- this is only a temporary fix. This item is great but I would not use it to build screens for my house. It is perfect for those very specific needs... like incorporating a screen with an A/C unit in a city that doesn’t always get that hot (Seattle), but hot enough at times to want air conditioning for sleep.Overall... highly recommended for those unique uses.
