I have a small breed, he lives to chew!He's a shih tzu 3nths. This bone looks big for him. But on the other hand a long time to suck on. It's about the diameter of a nickel and the length is about 3inches. I think a little smaller. But he'll get plenty of chew time. And he seems to love the taste. So in all good purchase.

Recommendation is 1/2 stick daily for up to 35 lbs. Our puppy is 30 lbs but try as I might I could not cut this stick in half! So we just have to supervise and eyeball it getting to 1/2 before taking it away from her.Takes a while for our 5 month old puppy to gnaw this down but gosh it makes such a mess! She slobbers all over it and the sticky residue gets all over her paws and the floor and the blankets she's on. I probably wouldn't get it again for this reason.

My puppy loves these teething sticks! According to the packaging, for a 20lb puppy he should only get 1/2 a stick a day which is perfectly fine. But these things are so hard it's difficult to cut one in half. I'm literally sawing it with my knife (granted I'm not very strong). My puppy eats these fairly quickly so it would be hard just to take it away after eating some of it. But still a great for teething puppies!
