Perfect replacement for Navien hot water heater unit running perfectly after replacing this part

I have two Navien tankless water heaters. The one that gets the heaviest use has the kitchen, master bath, and basement bath on it, and is a recirculating "instant" water heater. It started acting "funny" with the water temperature jumping up and down from scalding to freezing. I diagnosed it was the flow sensor. I was glad to find the exact replacement at a reasonable price. I am a skilled DIYer and glad not to have to pay a tech hundreds of dollars to change this part out and get my water heater working again.

Navein is easy to work on and this part was no exception. 8 years of hard water caused the inner turbine to quit spinning. New part removed one piece of the puzzle in getting the water heater back in line.

I have now purchased two of these- both don’t work. First one didn’t work right away and the second failed on the third day after installing. Returning both and reordering - hopefully the third time will be the charm.

I bought 2 of these to fix a problem with a Navien tankless water heater that was failing to heat water sporadically. One of these worked and one didn’t. I don’t know what the problem is with these sensors, but they fail eventually.

My Navien was no longer heating water at some of my faucets. The shower worked because of its greater volume of water. This flow switch fixed the issue. But this is a very important detail - you must remove the o-ring from the old sensor and place it inside the new one. The new one doesn’t come with an o-ring. If you fail to do this, your Navien will leak water from the overflow drain and from inside. This was a big shock to me. Luckily, I found a Reddit thread about leaking after flow sensor replacement and the issue was the o-ring. Replacement will take 10 minutes after you drain the system. If you don’t drain it, expect to get wet.

Got the part, looked new, installed it, the fit was right. Not sure why but it didn’t work unfortunately. Had to be without hot water longer. Hence the one star. Called a plumber who came and replaced the same exact part and it did work. Sending it back for refund.

This is the part that seem to fail first of you have hard water and don't do your annual maintenance of running vinegar thru it.The water heater won't give you a trouble code when the little impeller get calcified. Because it is not spinning and it doesn't know to turn on.Swap out on my model wat two easy connections and an electric connector
