This tool is awesome, I like the weight of it. I’ve used it to make at least 10 flares now and the battery life don’t move a stick as yet. Was a very good buy, will cover the cost in no time. Normally I have to make about 4-5 turns to tighten with this tool it’s now 2-3 turns and the connection is sealed.

Look you won’t know how bad you where doing your flares before this tool. I’d always wondered why the flare but would get close to threading all the way on but just not quite be the same as when you first removed it. Not only is it a perfect flare every time your nut will literally seat all the way on the thread before you even have to start torquing it.No more problems with trying to get your flare tool into hard to reach spaces and then trying to hand turn it just to mess up the flare. Even those behind the indoor head flares are literally hassle free with this guy! Never ever going to go back to hand flaring. Bought this on a whim hoped that it wasn’t money wasted and over a thousand flares and finally had to charge the battery and by far my favorite tool.Nothing I can find negative about this and it comes in a very well designed carry case. It’s as simple as cut your copper ream it if you wish. Slide on the sized flare clip that has a spring depth stop. Slide the toll on pull the handle and press the button 15 seconds later and your flare is done. You forgot the nut no problem cut away and re flare in 15 seconds. It’s crazy simple and more then convenient! I’ll add a picture later of it in its case for those interested with pictures of practice flares!

I own several flare tools, which are all hand tools. Making good flares are the key step on the installation of the mini split heat pumps. Every time I make the flares, I was nervous for making it too big or too small. I actually cut the line set a bit lager so I can cut the pipe and make the flare again just in case. With this tool, I have a confidence that I can make perfect flares every time. It is really a no brainer that this tool is needed for the job. I am so glad that I found this wonderful product. There is some improvement, however, I would like to suggest. First of all, the size of pipe should be labeled in both sides. It has only in one side and many times I had to flip it to read the size. In the picture, I used my labeler to print the pipe size and the clamp and to the slot in the case. I also cut the corner of the case where the power adaptor be located. The power cord is jammed and I was afraid that I may damage the cord. I used my oscillating tool to shave the corner so the cord is passed without getting pinched.
