Your cart is empty.The Minuteman International Nautical Fireback features a ship's anchor and wheel, sculpted in fine detail and comes in two sizes to fit fireplaces in older and contemporary homes. While many people think of our Fireback's as being purely decorative, solid cast iron fireback's first absorb and then radiate the heat directly into the room, making the fireplace much more efficient at heating the house. They also protect firebrick, increasing the life of the firebox and helping to prevent further damage to an aging fireplace. Fireback's are designed to rest on the floor of the hearth, but fireback supports may also be used to hold the fireback upright and raise it off the hearth if extra height is desired. All our fireback's are designed for use with both gas logs and wood burning fireplaces.

This is one solid piece of metal and it holds and reflects heat well. Even after a cold night once the fire went out the fireplace is still showing a higher temperature than the room due to the ability of this thing to keep heating,

I absolutely love this fireback. I have had previous firebacks where the design gets covered up by the ash of the fires. This one has a design with a large relief and is much more substantial. The design can be seen even after a lot of use. Just love when design meets function!
