Had my doubts that this would function as stated, but it does. Frozen fruit comes out like soft serve. Can’t beat the price for the value.

This Soft Serve Ice Cream Maker Attachment for Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer from the OTOmitra Store makes Dairy-Free Frozen Yogurt and Fruit Sorbet and is dishwasher safe. It doesn't really come with 'recipes', just suggestions of different fruits to use and some suggestions of other add-ins and they all sounded good. I tested it with blueberries and a little added sugar.The device is sturdy and seems well made and the parts were all present and accounted for. It fits my big KA stand mixer in the usual standard way and its easy to set up. It has some little nozzles that screw on the dispenser spout that give the product a star or ridged shape (like a cake decorating tip) but I did not use these, I wanted to see how it worked first and they are just decoration. As suggested, I allowed about 2 cups of blueberries to stand out on the counter to thaw a little while I set everything up.When I started grinding the berries, they extruded well and the product was very smooth. After a minute or 2, I found that the blueberries were freezing inside the attachment so I had to remove it and run it under hot water to get it flowing again which caused some melting and dripping. I reduced the amount of blueberries I was feeding in at one time and this helped so now I know. It does say in the instructions that it will take practice with different fruits to get a consistent product but it did not warn about fruit freezing inside, so just be aware that it can happen and it's messy to fix. Next time I will set up my mixer next to the sink instead of across the room!I am excited to try different fruits and also to try adding cream or yogurt and other mix-ins to get different flavors and textures. We love ice cream and this is an easy, low sugar, way to get some whenever we want it!

Works like a charm. Easily makes fruit to sorbet in no time.add cream or yogurt and you have ice cream. Simple cleaning, and you get all the best of the fruits.
