I love it much more than the Mk3 S4 that I used. Good earphones plug, easy connect to internet. Only minus is I must use an external audio device in order to use the MK3 S2 but it was like that with the previous as well. Love it!

Ich bin absolut blutiger DJ-Anfänger. Ich liebe und lebe Trance, und hatte schon öfter mit dem Gedanken gespielt, mich mit der DJ-Thematik zu befassen, auch um meinen Freunden eigene Mixe live zu streamen. Ich hatte etwas mit VDJ experimentiert und fand es toll, jedoch gefiel mir das Subscription Lizenzmodell nicht, dass für Streaming erforderlich war. Dann habe ich mir das kostenlose Mixxx angeschaut, auf das viele schwören, aber damit bin ich nicht warm geworden. Aufgrund eines Youtube Tutorials bin ich dann bei Traktor gelandet. Das hat mir auf Anhieb so gut gefallen, dass ich mir gleich das S2 MK3 bestellt habe. Und was soll ich sagen: ich hatte selten so viel Freude mit einem neuen Spielzeug. Die Hardware harmoniert hier PERFEKT mit der Software. Wie gesagt, ich bin absoluter Laie und Anfänger, aber Hardware und Software sind so intuitiv, dass ich nach kürzester Zeit damit klar gekommen bin! Ich habe mir schnell angewöhnt, die Finger von der Maus zu lassen, und fast alles über das S2 zu machen, und war hellauf begeistert, wie gut mir meine ersten Mixe gelungen sind. Klar mache ich Anfängerfehler, aber ich habe mehrere Stunden für mich selbst geDJ't und es hat unfassbar Spaß gemacht! Klar kann ich heute nicht sagen, ob Kunststoff und Gummitaster irgendwann ihre Weichmacher verlieren und dann klebrig werden, also über Qualität kann ich nichts sagen, aber das S2 wirkt auf mich durchaus wertig. Und für den Preis inkl. Software sicher ein guter Deal. Kritikpunkt von mir wäre höchstens, dass die Online-Anleitungen wirklich äußerst spartanisch und wenig hilfreich sind. Dann lieber nach Youtube Tutorials suchen, die sind (auch vom Hersteller) ziemlich gut. Zudem sind Software und Anleitungen, trotz deutschem Hersteller, komplett nur auf englisch zu haben. Naja, Berlin halt, mimimi-wir-sind-ja-so-international :-P Kurzum: ein wirklich tolles Produkt, dass Einsteigern wir mir es ermöglicht, in kürzester Zeit tolle Ergebnisse zu erzielen. Daher von mir, und mit ganzem Herzen, die volle Punktzahl!

I used the same version of this mixer for 5 years previous.. This is a great upgrade, love the new set up of buttons.

Nothing not to like, can power using a power bank and an iPad and Bluetooth speaker can be used so no need for mains electricity! I’m a novice but the Traktor makes it very easy to get hang of mixing, looping, cueing etc! Recommend to anyone!!

Very happy with the product, but haven't gotten super deep into it yet. seems to have more features than competing controllers at this price point.

This thing is sold as Ipad compatible. It even has an "ipad" USB specific port on the back. But beware, if you have a 2021 Ipad Pro with the new M1 chipset this will not work. Native Instruments has also abandoned their Traktor DJ2 app so there are no new updates coming. I literally bought this thing to use with my new iPad and it won't/can't work according to NI's own forums. Yikes.... be aware if this is your reason for buying this thing. Looking into my options now, most likely will return and look into the Roland option.

This thing is awesome and super fun. Native instruments is definitely a top audio equipment brand and this is an awesome product. Traktor DJ (their DJ software) is an amazing and very easy to understand program too. I used this for a while and sold it but now I’m honestly wishing I had it again. I’d say this is best for beginner DJs or just playing around with. You could definitely do some gigs with this if you’re pretty new to the DJ scene, but as you learn more and develop your skills, you’ll want to move up to a more capable unit. For the price though, I can recommend this all day long. Especially since it comes with the full version of their software. Also you can use it with their iOS app if you have the right cable.

Not the cheapest option on the market and the build quality feels a little on the light side (i.e. cheap) but the bundled software makes up for it (especially if you use a DAW).

I originally got this as sort of a backup/portable version of the S4MK3 I could use at home to do preparation and recording mini-mixes. I was not disappointed. The hardware build quality is great and it adpots a lot of features from its big brother while still being lightweight. I've used it on the road, when traveling, and even in one of the biggest clubs in Houston with no problems whatsoever.The jogs feel nice and have a good size to them. The crossfader could be better but I've been spoiled with the Z2 and S4MK3, and it does the job fine, even for some more advanced scratching routines. Output routing was a bit disappointing as there are no XLR/TRS outputs, but some small adaptors did the trick (RCA to XLR was crucial).The lack of FX control was a bit controversial, but to me it helped keep the size down, and I mapped Shift+knobs to control the dry/wet and an FX parameter like on the Z2. Once again, the hardware quality is amazing and way beyond what else you see in this class. Bottom line, this is a great controller at a great value, and has excellent build quality and a lot of cool features (the new mixer FX in particular is great). I would not hesitate to pick this up and I wish I had much sooner. As a Traktor user of 6+ years, I can't recommend this enough, even to owners of the S4MK3.

I’m a noob when it comes to the DJ scene, but I’m not a noob when it comes to controllers. I just figured I’d give this DJ thing a try, cause why not? It looks fun and I’m a quick learner.I’ve used NI’s products before. I mostly do instrumentals with the Maschine controller. NI makes excellent products in my opinion.Anyways, let’s get back to the product. It worked right out of the box. Some people think this one looks cheap compared to other versions, I am not one of those people. I think this product looks nice. The jog wheels feel nice and so does the scratching. The buttons feel nice just like the Maschine MK3. The knobs feel great and have excellent feedback. The sliders felt nice as well. There was one issue with the actual controller, that was plugging in the usb, it was very hard/tight and snug.I haven’t recorded a full mix yet, since I’m still getting use to it, but I’ll be completing one soon enough.The software it comes with works pretty well with the controller. There was one issue I have, maybe it’s because I’m doing it wrong, but who knows. The middle section of the knobs don’t seem to do anything, at least from what I’ve seen, but I could have it set up incorrectly. They are releasing new software that seems to be more tailored for the S2 in the spring, so we’ll see.As for people in the reviews talking about it being glitchy, well. They must not know how to use the controller then, because it was very responsive. Maybe they just have slow laptops that can’t handle the software. Either way, it works without any glitches. This is a great entry level product.

The controller just arrived today but I’m already loving it. Where do I start? First, it comes with a full version of Traktor Pro 3. I don’t know if you’ve priced software lately but I paid $100 for Virtual DJ for a smaller inexpensive controller I own. Second, it’s ipad compatible. I use my MacBook but nice to know this is an option. Finally, set up was a breeze. You just long into their site and it takes your step by step. Overall, I like what I see so far. The deck allows you to easily use all the common features in Traktor’s all new software. The platters are nice and large and the knobs and sliders feel sturdy and easy to access.The only issues I have (they are minor) it only has one mic output, just RCA and no XLR for speakers and it’s not great for scratching (not that I need that but maybe you do). Overall, I’m pleased with my purchase and can’t wait to use it this weekend for a gig.Who is this suitable for? I would say a beginner or intermediate DJ who wants flexibility and may need to travel (it’s lightweight and easy to carry). Also, someone who doesn’t need 4 decks and more auxiliary inputs. There are more complex and robust controllers on the market but this has everything I need. Great job!
