This hook has a nice large mouth and the chain or rope slip very easy with it. So it will tighten fast and holds.

I thought I had purchased the same clevis hook that I had purchased a few months earlier, through Amazon's "purchased before" facility. When it arrived, the hook was about half the size of the one I had received before, had a much smaller "mouth", and a different configuration. It's a good clevis hook, but it's not what I thought I had ordered.

The hook is solid and opens more than others I have tried. I was stuck ordering a smaller bolt size but the price more than makes up for this slight difference. You just cannot beat the value at under 4 dollars!
