After many years of abuse, our storm door bracket broke. This replacement bracket worked very well but not all four holes lined up, so I reused the two existing holes closer to the storm door, and drilled two new ones to run in the other two screws. See pictures. Good luck with your project!

This is a well-made piece of hardware. Thought I was buying only the two pieces. Very surprised to see a bag of screws and pins to attach the closer to the brackets. Also had the little slider that keeps the door open.Works great. All the holes lined up exactly with my old hardware which was very very old.

Just needed 1 bracket to replace a broken one. Worked great and saved the cost of having to buy the entire cylinder.

My old door closer started to tear at the door jab. I ordered this and was a perfect fit. The pin included was not as big as the original but it worked just fine. Time will tell if that makes a difference.

My original Anderson hardware took a beating so I started looking around for replacements. I read a lot of reviews and alllmost purchased one of these that was slightly cheaper but one of the reviews mentioned the predrilled holes didn't line up so they had to drill new ones. I'm very handy and that wouldn't have been an issue but I wanted something ready to go out of the box.I then land on this one. Reviews were great, all of the holes lined up and from what I could tell by other peoples pictures, it seemed pretty spot on for dimensions. The product is basically an exact copy with one exception. The pin that holds the pneumatic swinger is slimmer than the original (take a look at my pictures and you can that I set the old pin on top of the new bracket hole but it's too wide to fit in). Not a problem at all as the new hardware comes with a slimmer pin that fits perfectly. (If you really wanted to keep the original pin, you could just drill a slightly larger hole but, again, I wanted the hands off hardware)This product feels a lot more sturdy than the original part. The only ding I would give it, is that it doesn't come in white. You can easily take some white rustoleum paint to it if you are ocd about color. If you are on the fence, buy it (you won't regret it)!

These two parts were broken on my storm door. Took me all of 10 minutes to replace them with these. Recommended

Update: Just ordered 2 more. The previous one worked on a heavily used front house door for 2.4 years. Better than the one that came with the door. Only bottom one wears out. Bumped up one star. Very easy to install. The one that arrived is metallic silver color. Quality is good. Much thicker that the previous one from box store. 3 stars for wrong color. Requires painting. Happy with solid hinge.

A year or two ago we replaced a door closer and the bracket that attached to arm to the interior door broke in less than a year. It seemed wasteful to replace the whole thing for $20-$30 when I just needed a bracket to hold a pin and actually took a long time to find a replacement part online. This is one thing hardware stores are better for, asking random questions like "hey i just need to replace the little bracket that the door closer pin slots into, mine broke, do you sell replacement brackets?". It's why I have very little faith that "virtual assistants" will be a major disrupter of human labor, but alas, Covid makes a trip to the store for a $5 bracket seem like an unnecessary risk so here we are. If you are looking to replace the bracket that the door closer pin goes into, look no further! This one takes about 2 seconds to install and honestly looks better / more durable than the original. Cheers!
