We were excited, my daughter and eight year old grandson and I, to paint dinosaurs!! The kit has the National Geographic name so I expected a lot. We sat down and took out all that the kit includes and were ready to paint some dinosaurs! We struggled to open the first tube, we actually had to use a push pin to poke a hole, this was no where in the instructions. We found that the paint separated and only clear liquid came out. I tried shaking it up and still only clear liquid came out. Six of the seven tubes were unusable. Such a disappointment for my little guy!

Definitely worth the buy.. a fun craft to do with my children. It was a little bit hard to get the paint in the small sections but overall happy with the final product. The kids loved it.

This was a present for children aged 7 and 9. They enjoyed the painting and are happy with the result, which is what matters. It took less than an hour for them 2 paint the whole set. From an adult perspective-The colors are a little lack luster on the finished product even in the sun. There are no instructions for opening the paint tubes. We had to poke small holes in order for the paint to come out, but could not find anything mentioning that.It also does not specify if the paint is water soluble. There is one paint brush included, so make sure you have extra on hand if multiple people will be doing this together. The paint stays on skin for a few days even with washing, unless you really scrub or pick it off.

this kit has a good variety with 10 different dinosaurs (no duplicates) and they come with suction cup hooks to hang on the window. the glow-in-the-dark paint was a big draw for us!unfortunately, the included colors are somewhat limited. (all colors are glow-in-the-dark except the 2 metallics)10ml each of blue, orange, yellow6ml each of green, darker orange (listed as red)2 opaque metallics (silver and gold)not much of a problem for us because we have our own colors but it could be limiting if you are buying this kit hoping for more variety. would be better if they replaced the 2 opaque colors with transparent colors that are more suitable for suncatchers.the glow-in-the-dark paint glows well enough but it applies gloppy (like hair gel?) and dries splotchy. the instructions suggest applying a thin layer, but if you do that you’ll end up with lots of bare patches. i put mine on pretty thick and still ended up with bare spots after it dried.these suncatchers are small compared to other suncatchers we’ve purchased from walmart but seem to be on par with most “kits”. i added a photo comparing them next to some of our other suncatchers for reference.another small gripe is the way the paints are sealed you have to actually cut the tip off of the tubes. you end up cutting off so much that its barely a “tip” anymore and the paint comes out in a glob, making it difficult to work with. i even tried piercing the tip with a safety pin but the seal was too thick.overall this kit is a good add-on and we love dinosaurs so we’ll finish the rest but probably with are own paints.

We bought this to use with a Solar System Unit Study in our homeschool with my 6YO.It was easy to paint, had plenty of paint in the tubes, and came with an informational booklet that made good education during the craft project. It was easy to assemble and also came with suction cups hooks for an alternative display method. Great quality, good quantity and easy to create for a wide range of ages. Our only drawback was that paint doesn’t glow really well, which was disappointing. It also was not easy to clean up so I’d recommend painting with old clothes and newspaper or a drop cloth over your workspace.

While I haven't had the chance to personally use the NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC Kids Window Art Kit yet, as I purchased it as a gift, I can attest to its promising appearance. The kit looks fantastic, with vibrant colors and appealing designs that are sure to inspire creativity in young artists. What stands out about this kit is its focus on educational exploration through art. With NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC's reputation for quality and authenticity, I have no doubt that the included activities and materials will provide hours of engaging entertainment and learning opportunities for children. It's a thoughtful present that encourages imaginative play and artistic expression, making it an ideal choice for birthdays, holidays, or any special occasion.Overall, while I may not have used it myself, I have high hopes for the NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC Kids Window Art Kit based on its impressive presentation and reputation. I'm confident that it will be well-received by its intended recipient and provide countless hours of creative enjoyment.
