I have tried hundreds of thimbles that I use with my sewing and English paper piecing and none compare to this leather thimble. My fingers are rather large so it’s hard enough to find a thimble that fits well. The leather on this thimble is the softest leather, very form fitting. Strongly stitched and a band of elastic on the under side of your finger next to the knuckle, that allows your finger to bend quite well. This thimble was recommended to me by a friend. I had a hard time finding it. Amazon had 2 listed so I bought them both praying it would be the answer to my thimble dilemma and it was. Super satisfied!!

I originally bought a thimble exactly like this one over 40 years ago and I love it! The elastic however, is weak because of high usage, and I have needed to replace it for several years, but haven’t been able to find an identical product until I decided to desperately search for one. I finally found it! I have tried other thimbles and they are hard plastic or hard leather and just didn’t feel good or work well. You will not be disappointed.

I love my leather thimble. It is very soft and flexible, but is also durable. I find hard thimbles a little to small to use for very long. I do a lot of needlework, and can wear this one for hours. It is particularly good for those who sew on leather or heavy patches. I'll never go back to a hard thimble again.

I never have liked thimbles so therefore have never used one. Recently I have needed one for hemming binding on mug rugs. I have tried a lot of thimbles. I have quite the collection. They are either too tight, too loose, too thin, too cumbersome. Part of my problem is I have arthritis in my middle finger. The knuckle is large so nothing has worked for me. This thimble came today. Holy cow! It is amazing. The leather is so soft and flexible. It extends up my entire finger. The band prevents it from ever falling off. I can still flex my finger. Even though the leather is incredibly soft it is tough enough that my needle will never pass through into my finger. I am so grateful to have discovered this unique thimble. It is perfect for me. It's the best solution for someone who hates thimbles, doesn't want to wear a thimble, but needs one to shove that needle through the fabric and not their finger.

I totally like this leather thimble, and it is definitely worth the price. I've tried traditional metal thimbles, plastic thimbles (ugh), and another type of leather thimble, but this one is by far the best for my needs. It does get more flexible the more you use it. Molds to your finger.
