It's nice and compact, lightweight too. Seems to do the job. I haven't used it much, just once so far but I'll be using it more in the future to keep the air in my air line dry.

None of these made to fit a hobby air compressor like it said it would.

WORKS WELL

This was extremely easy to assemble and use. Assembly was as easy as thread tape and screwing the provided connectors in. Then, just place it in-line with your air hose. Nice peace of mind for protecting air tools from avoidable excessive moisture.

This is a perfect sized replacement and a good low cost option to replace the filter on a Seelye 2001FC plastic welder. In fact, even the bowl fits the Seelye filter, so if you wanted to maintain originality, you could just swap the bowls (mine was cracked).

I like that this air line filter included everything I needed to get in installed, it was easy to install and seems to work well. It included and 1/4 inch NPT connector and plug, a couple of fittings and some thread seal tape. It easily fit onto the side plug of my six gallon pancake compressor. It also includes a mounting bracket, but I did not have anywhere to mount mine to on the compressor and my compressor is not stationary. The connectors all seem sturdy and well made, I did not have any leaks (use the included thread seal tape) The valve at the bottom of the bowl is easy to turn to remove debris as it builds up. My first time using this filter on my compressor was for about an hour long - I did not notice any buildup at that time. Over time, however, the buildup of debris in your air line can damage your tools, so a filter like this can help protect your tools by filtering contaminants out of the air line.

This air filter helps to remove water and particulate from compressed air lines. My application is to filter air I have routed to my unfinished basement to supply construction air tools while I complete the finishing process. The first thing you will notice is the small size. This will limit the amount of air flow, but I can only use one tool at a time and my air supply demand isn't that great...no issue. It does require that the filter be checked frequently for water during humid times...no problem...its easy to drain.During assembly, expect to have to spend some time to minimize air leaks. Thread tape is provided but expect to use 5 or 6 wraps or pipe dope such as Rector Seal to get an air-tight fitting.Normally filters are attached to the air source. In my case it will be placed within the supply line. To help protect the filter I've attached the mounting bracket to a wood skid to keep it in position and to protect it from damage. Remember that this is a lighter duty filter and does not have a metal cage like the more expensive industrial intended filters. Plan ahead and protect it BEFORE you break it.Its a decent filter given the price point but expect to treat it accordingly and recognize the limitations prior to purchase.

The pipe threads on the body of the filter appear to be oversized resulting in very loose fitting quick disconnect fittings. The fittings also seems to bottom out too early in the body which doesn't help. I wrapped each fitting with five turns of good quality Teflon tape (the tape included is ridiculously thin) followed with a coating of Rectorseal "T plus 2" pipe sealant and the fittings still leak quite a bit causing my compressor to cycle on more often than needed. Overall, this item is a bit of a disappointment and not an item I’d recommend.
