  • 【UPGRADED NANOVNA-H4 V4.3】 ALIESTFDNO nanovna-h4 provides perfect vector network measurement capabilities, compact and handheld, stand-alone with 4inch LCD display, with 1950mAh battery powered or USB powered. With latest HW 4.3 version, Nanovna-h4 antenna analyzer is added a brand new panel plus added a new SD port for data storage(support up to 32GB memory card, which not included in the package)
  • 【IMPROVED FREQUENCY ALGORITHM】The improved frequency algorithm of nanovna h4 can use the odd harmonic extension of si5351 to support the measurement frequency up to 1.5GHz. The 50K-300MHz frequency range of the si5351 direct output provides better than 70dB dynamic. The extended 300M-900MHz band provides better than 60dB of dynamics, and the 900M-1.5GHz band is better than 40dB of dynamics. Used it to check out new cable or antenna installations and to routinely adjust the RF tuner for optimum
  • 【ANTENNA PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT】The default firmware main function for vector network analyzer is used for antenna performance measurement. It has good RF performance for S-parameter measurements as previous models. NOTE: the Nanovna is only compatible with the low-speed and supports SPI mode SD cards for now. It is very efficient vector testing for ham radio operator, research electrical engineer and antenna builders
  • 【PC & ANDROID CONTROL】Using PC software NanoVNASaver, NanoVNA-H4 antenna analyzer can connect to a NanoVNA and extracts the data for display on a computer, and for saving to Touchstone files. We can export Touchstone (snp) files for various radio design and simulation software through PC software. The TX/RX method can measure the complete S11 and S21 parameters. If you need to obtain S12 and S22, you need to manually replace the transceiver port wiring
  • 【PACKAGE LIST】NanoVNA-H4 host (with 1950mAh battery) x1, USB Type-C data cable x1, 30cm/11.8inch SMA male to male RG174 RF cable x2, SMA simple calibration kit (OPEN/LOAD/SHORT) x1, SMA female to female connector x1, Lanyard with stylus x1, stylus pen x1

Easy to use for someone that knows a bit about Time domain reflectometers and basic impedance measurements. The flow diagram that comes with it is very useful. will do way more than I need. You can also find user guides online by doing a search. I found that one of my coax cables is poor for 2m and 70cm use, probably a cb radio cable. I made a home made j-pole 2m-70cm antenna and it came in very handy for tuning and finding a good coax to use.Be aware that the 50 ohm calibration load is not very accurate. Mine is high by 1.7%.

For $90 this is a very expensive specific item. It's a portable vector network analyzer that will help to diagnose RF related cables and antenna. It has a decent size 4" touch screen and comes with various adapters. It's like an XRAY or MRI machine that doctor uses (expensive but sometime necessary to diagnose problems.)

The kit arrived exactly as described and the product pictures are very accurate. If you are buying this you already know what it does and how to use it. This tool can be used in so many ways for antenna, cables length, velocity, tuning stub, filter, SWR etc.Normally the product from unofficial sources suffer from instability and poor RF shielding. This H4 unit has a plastic case but the RF section appears to have good enough shielding. I did not notice any noise in many different measurements.Upgrade over original nano VNA: I do have the original nano VNA H but I think this is a good upgrade. > Bigger screen, its only 4" over 2.8 of H but so much easier to use. > This unit has better shielding than my original H unit. Its much stable and doesn't pickup stray signal to go crazy. > One of the major upgrade is the number of sweep points, 401 vs 101 of original. This gives you much better resolution when using a wider scan. Default is still at 101, so to use 401 sweep point you need to change in sweep setting. > SD card is a big plus and option to save a scan or take a screenshot on the go.I personally prefer to use NanoSaver on PC because you have much more flexibility to configure in many different ways, not to mention a bigger screen. One of the biggest advantage I see is, you can use a wider scan with multiple segments to get passed the sweep point limit to get much better resolution. It basically does multiple scan and combine them into one. This is not possible if you are working on the H4 directly.Another important thing to remember is that over 300MHz range is achieved by harmonics and the fundamentals are still there so consider that in your measurements. If you want to learn more about VNAs or antenna analyzers try w2aew videos on U_tub for simple clean knowledge.Overall this unit is well made and performs well. Its little expensive at its listed price but I see coupons often.

I already had a nanoVNA with the smaller screen, and I have to say I am a lot happier with this version and its large screen. Of course this has many other improvements too over my previous unit. I would not pretend to be an expert in using this, but I can set a range and calibrate it well enough to trace the SWR of my antennas and am working on learning the deeper functions and capabilities. It may seem daunting at first but there is a wealth of free knowledge on the internet to help someone get acquainted with this and if all you want to do for a start is get a better picture of your SWR it takes less than 10 minutes of online education to get to that point if you can follow basic instructions. This version comes with thicker/nicer coax pigtails than the first one I bought years ago. It does not come with an adapter to SO239 so for many people you will need to snag one of those. What it comes with works for anything that uses SMA connectors and that is typical of most nanoVNA kits.I used it to compare a couple of CB antennas because once or twice a year I use GMRS on a multi-car road trip and I have noticed that you can get harmonically "lucky" with some CB antennas that tune up decently in the GMRS frequency range. I used this VNA to test whether my latest permanent installed antenna had such luck, and unfortunately it didn't quite work out. I compared it to another CB antenna I have tested and used previously on GMRS and confirmed it was in a safer range of SWR if you wanted/needed to use it there. I tested on the corner of the windshield just to try to be somewhat fair between them, obviously if I actually used it on a road trip I would put the magnetic antenna on the center, and then with this tool I can easily verify if it's safe for my radio to transmit into it again. For ONLY SWR purposes it's not always worth it to have a VNA if you already have a power/SWR meter, but you get way more information with this and when you are tuning having one of these is so much faster and easier, with real-time feedback on tuning adjustments and of course SWR is just the tip of the iceberg if you are willing to spend some time learning the other functions and capabilities of these things.I would recommend picking one up if you tinker with antennas and radio stuff frequently, even if only in a hobby capacity, and this particular unit I am happy with and feel like I got a big upgrade over the small-screen older model I had before.

I use this Nano Vna to check the swr tuning on different bandwidths for different antennas. Easily learn to use and store calibrated settings for quick analysis. Very easily tune and adjust swr settings for any antenna during install.I have even used this vector analyzer to find the resonate frequency of a couple antennas that have been given to me for fixed frequency applications. Great little device and the readings are spot on compared to other antenna analyzer equipment. Very useful tool for any cb'r, amateur radio enthusiasts or someone new to the world of radio communications.

This device is a game changer for any ham lacking the budget for a room full of lab-grade gear. It's worthwhile even just for measuring SWR as you can sweep a whole band in an instant. It's also great for 915MHz LoRa antennas where a few millimeters matter and high-quality antennas cost a good fraction of the NanoVNA. After building two or three homemade antennas that work as well or better than commercial products, it pays for itself.
