I like this bottle. Had one previously but borrowed it out and it did not return. Like the ease of use and carry, and the fact that it collapses as used and has a minimal weight impact.

I needed a pee bottle for my mountaineering trip, and this style was recommended by the guides due to its light weight and compactability. I thankfully only had to use it once at night, but it did the trick (and didn't leak as stated in other reviews...whew!). The materials do seem like they could crack or tear after being folded and unfolded multiple times, so I wouldn't rely on this for extended use. I'm a woman and the wide mouth of the bottle and a little practice meant I didn't need to carry around a pee funnel with me on the trip. I hope I don't need to pee in a bottle again for along time, but if I do, I would bring this type again.

I typically carry platypus collapsible bottles and have logged hundreds of miles on them. I used this on 2 hikes, and on the second time out with it, i reach into my pack for my insulation layers and find them soaking wet, as this bottle is leaking at the seam near the bottom. My hunting partner had this exact same failure mode on his bottle while deep in the back country. Skip the nalgene and buy platypus. Only reason i tried this is because my water filter has a "nalgene" size adapter. Its harder to fill the platypus, but they dont fail.

This is a brilliant addition to my water bottle collection . Over a litre of volume and the more you drink the more compact it can become . I purchased this for my son for his DofE trips and use it with a source convertube which works really welll. It is very robust and has taken some knocks no problem . I have been trying to find some with the normal top but no luck so far. Vendor was great and delivered very quickly and before time. I would definetly recommend these bottles ( I bought the 32oz / 1.1 litre ).

I spend a lot of time in the mountains and have assembled a kit that I keep in the back of my SUV with the basic necessities to survive if I get stranded. I bought this cantene because the wide mouth allows me to insert a Steripen water purifier, yet it takes up very little space, due to it's collapsible design. The material is durable and stands up well to wear and tear. I wholeheartedly recommend this product.

Another great Nalgene product.- does what is supposed to do- durable- attached cap (what are you going to do with a bottle if you loose the cap?)- widemouth bottle attaches directly to my Katadyn water filterI take several of these bottles (and two hard-shell Nalgene bottles) when I go hiking. Fill up the Nalgene Cantenes when I anticipate heading to a dry camp site. Otherwise they add little weight and take up little space in my pack. I like using the 32 ozs type as opposed to a larger cantene because if one does develop a leak it is not an all or nothing situation.

I love these bottles! They fold flat and roll up for storage in backpack or camping gear. The bottom has an accordion fold that opens up when you fill the bottle, allowing it to stand up securely. They have a wide mouth lid that screws off, allowing it to be washed thoroughly and totally dried before storage. It has a sippy top that makes it easy to drink on the trail without messing with a lid or spilling water, and the loop makes it easy to attach the bottle to your pack. They are reasonably priced and made from thick, durable material. And most of all, I like that these bottles are USA made by Nalgene - meaning they are BPA free and made to last. We have six of them in different sizes, and have enjoyed using all of them.
