We have a pretty serious neighborhood garage sale once a year and my aunts and I combine our three homes into one mega shopping experience. Several times, we've gotten counterfeit money and it's a huge bummer - counterfeit money almost always affects small businesses and individuals more than large businesses, so we knew we needed a way to protect ourselves in the future.This device came in handy twice during our last garage sale and, as a result, we'll be using it from now on for sure. And to be honest, I choose to believe that *most* people who have counterfeit money in hand really have no idea how they got it or passed it on. But either way, this has helped us at the garage sale and we now use it for markets when we vend a farmer's market as well. Operation is super easy and scans are rapid, simple to perform, and provide quick, reliable results.Operation of this device is very very simple, with no complicated settings or adjustments to toggle through - just on and off. While we didn't use this feature, it's awesome that it can also function as a magnetic sensor to detect counterfeit checks, passports, and credit cards. It's lightweight and can be used both as a plug-in device as well as with a battery, which is how we usually use it. It works well and lasts several uses even using just regular dollar store batteries. I have not had anyone attempt to use anything but American currency, but I do feel some peace of mind knowing that it could detect counterfeit currency in other denominations with no issue were I to participate in an event that required me to do so. I'm overall happy with this device and would not hesitate to suggest it to others. Recommended.
