I adore how easy this library gun has made cataloging my books. I have over 2,000 books and this gun worked so efficiently and quickly. The beeping wasn’t obnoxious and it made cataloging them very fun. The battery lasts a very long time and it was very easily compatible with my computer.

I like it's ease of use and it's quick scanning, the ability to either upload now or later is a huge plus. What I disliked was the first unit I purchased has a connection issue, fortunately, I was able to get a replacement from Amazon the next day. My use for this is inventory management of unique items that need to be cataloged, in this case it's vintage clothing. To elaborate on what happened when I first got my scanner, the usb plug worked, the scanner wouldn't connect to it. Rather than sending a message to NADAMOO for the replacement, it was easier to ask for a replacement from Amazon. Amazon Sent the replacement the next day and picked up the defective unit. The replacement works great, and overall this is a good investment for my purposes.I will update this review in about 6 to 12 months. One final note, this will NOT scan 2D codes such as QR codes, Matrix, ect... This is just for classic liner codes. Hope this helps you!

This little guy is pretty cool overall. I haven't experienced any misreads, although I haven't used it a ton. I've really only used it less than a dozen times for scanning in some inventory, less than 100 things each time. I never had any issues with it until tonight. I had to scan in 70 serial numbers which involved opening little boxes, scanning, then closing them again. When I went to upload the stored scans, it recalled about a dozen then just shut off. I turned it back on and found there was zero data left. I tried again where I left off, did another 30 or so this time, and sure enough, got about 6 of those and lost the rest. Battery is at 90%, so that's not the issue. I still need to scan, but this time I'm going to do it live where the data goes straight into my spreadsheet. So beware that feature, but the rest seems to be just fine. For $35, I would have expected that feature to work, but it's still useful, hence the 4 stars.

I bought Nadamoo YHD-5100 (Bur3003) and YDH-5100 (Bur3072) to be used in a warehouse for scanning UPC codes into our system. Instead of the normal HID (keyboard emulation) method of input, I used them in the virtual com method so that the scanners can be used concurrently. (Otherwise if both scanners scan at the same time, the input will be jumbled and you won't know which scanner is responsible for the scan)To get into virtual com mode, you need to email the support and request the usb_com drivers as well as instructions from them. Support is relatively responsive considering they are in Asian time zone. (so give them a business day for them to respond). They could have saved themselves a lot of trouble and time just by listing the download links on the manual..so not sure why they didn't do that.Back to the system, I can verify that both models listed can co-exist and work together in virtual com mode.I had to program the scanners to add the characters A: and B: before the barcodes. e.g. Scanner1 will output the input 123456789012 as A:123456789012 and Scanner2 will output B:123456789012 etc. After that, I added a class module to read directly from the com port. The com port will show up as "Nuvoton Virtual Com Port X" in Windows device manager where X is the port number assigned. The interesting thing is that if both scanners scans at the same time, only one of them will be successfully read to the com port. My program will then proceed to strip out the first 2 characters (e.g. A:) and give the scanned barcode to the inventory program. It has been working fantastic and highly recommended.Other interesting note: If you are just scanning 1D, the YHD-5100 is faster in scanning than YHD-5100(2D)Good products! I will add more scanners to speed up inventory scanning even more.Update: If 2 scanners scan exactly at same time, input will be concatenated. (I stated erroneously in original review that there will be only 1 correct input)

Good solid hand held scanner and works perfectly for small business needs, after creating a spread sheet for system to work with, this has definitely made stock control simple.Distance is fine for connection to receiver within the computer and the distance transmitted was approx 30 to 40 m going through various stud walls and steel uprights.Overall very pleased with delivery and the product.

These scanners work really well. They come with their own USB dongles which just plug into a spare USB port on a computer and connect seamlessly with the scanner which allows much more flexible use without being tied to a cable. Very small and lightweight with good battery life (the batteries re-charge via a USB connection. They only scan linear bar codes (not 2D) but for the price they represent really good value for money.
