This is a image barcode scanner that can read 1D / 2D bar codes.
Laser scanner or imager scanner? How do you know which one is right for you?
- Lasers scanner depend on the reflection of laser light to get a good scan.Due to the nature of laser light, only a thin (linear) slice of the barcode can be read at any one time.Laser scanenr can not scan barcodes on screens as screens do not reflect laser light properly.
- Imaging scanner works by taking pictures and running sophisticated image processing algorithms on each image to decode barcodes. With CMOS sensor, 2D Imager scanner can read 1D and 2D barcodes from nearly every surface type including computer or mobile device screens, and even scan through glass surfaces, curved surface, plastic shrink wrap.
>> If your barcode is 2D barcode or you need to read barcodes off a screen, such as computer monitor, smartphone or tablet, a 2D imager is likely the way to go.
- 2D Imager is better for reading barcodes that are smudged, scratched, damaged, or poorly printed.
- Generally, when reading 1D long barcodes, laser scanner can read barcode more easily than imaging scanner.

2 Upload modes
Instant Upload Mode: Read barcodes & upload barcode straight to the file you have opened.
Storage Mode: All scanned barcode will be stored directly into the bulit-in memory of the scanner. You can upload the data to your device in batch.
Internal offline storage supports up to 100,000 barcodes.
HID Mode：No driver and special software needed. The scanned barcode will type out in the cursor's position.
SPP Mode：need to work with driver and serial software. The scanned information will only show up in serial software.
BLE Mode: enable faster and simpler connection methods as well as use with other wearable smart devices.
3 Trigger Modes:
Key Trigger Mode: Scanning light is only on when press the trigger.
Continuous Scan Mode: Scanning light is always on when the scanner is electrified. Scanning barcode without pressing any button.
Auto-sensing mode: Scanning light is off until a barcode presented in front of the scanner. Once the barcode is detected, the scanning light will turn on automatically to read the barcode.

Note:
Not compatible with Square / Shopify , as Square / Shopify has its own custom scanner to prevent user to use barcode scaner of other brand in their system.
For example, our Barcode scaner can scan item barcode into search box of square POS and it will automatically search the item, but you have to manually click searched item to add it to the bill.
Over 300 Configuration
- Add custom prefixes/ suffixes, delete characters.
- Add keyboard keys/ combinations (terminator TAB, CR&LF, etc.)
- Enable or disable the barcode type.
- Turn off / on check digit, stop and start digit

Example : The original UPCE barcoe is “01234565”, but the program ask for filling in 12 digits on the cell.
Solution: Please scan the setting code “UPCE to UPCA-On”on manual.

Q: Some barcodes cannot be scanned and some barcodes can be scanned, how should I solve the problem?
A：Some settings is off by default for some barcode types which are not commonly used.
You need to find the corresponding setup code from included manual based on the barcode type to get it working.

I purchased this barcode scanner for work. It's compact and very easy to set up and use. It comes with a charging station that is small enough to fit in any desk or workstation. Great battery life and very quick charging.

I purchased this scanner for my book business. Overall it is a good accurate scanner. The reason why I gave it a three star is because the beep it makes is very loud when it scans a book. I took it out and immediately drew attention when I used it. I had my bluetooth connected to my phone, but the scanner itself does not have a bluetooth setting to allow user to know that it has read the barcode.

this is one fantastic item -- works great -- I now scan all books to see what is selling and list all of them -- my orders have almost tripled -- love this thing and I am not techno savvy so took a while to figure out and Im sure there is much more to learn but paid for itself the first month I learned a little
