Very stable. I just measured my sofa and this fit perfect. I used it to stabilize an old sofa I have. I didn't want to get a new sofa because I love my old sofa and thos saved me from doing that.

tad small than description by 2 inch and i realised i need 82inch but this is 72 inch short by 2 inchim not satisfied

The cover for my springs was deteriorating. I needed something to cover them so they would not tear my cushions. This served the purpose.
